    On the night of January 7, I visited the Best Buy location at 5419 W Loop 1604 N, San Antonio, TX 78253 and experienced a serious failure to honor a paid warranty—even after providing documentation. I purchased a Samsung Galaxy Fold in August along with Geek Squad Protection. Prior to going into the store, I contacted Geek Squad customer support and was explicitly told that my phone was covered under the warranty and qualified for an exchange. This determination was documented, and I provided a screenshot clearly showing Geek Squad’s instructions to proceed with an exchange. Despite this, the customer service representative at this location stated that “the only thing the computer allows me to do is give store credit.” The store credit amount offered was not even half the value of the phone, which is only a few months old and originally cost a significant amount. The representative ignored the screenshot, did not review Geek Squad claim notes, and made no attempt to escalate the issue to a supervisor or manager. This directly contradicts the Geek Squad Protection terms, which clearly provide for repair or exchange of covered devices. Reduced-value store credit is not what was promised, not what was approved by Geek Squad, and not what customers pay for when purchasing protection on a high-value device. This was not a misunderstanding. I provided clear documentation from Geek Squad, and it was disregarded. Either this store lacks proper training on Geek Squad Protection claims, or it is choosing to ignore authorized claim determinations. Either scenario is unacceptable. This experience has significantly damaged my trust in Best Buy and in the value of Geek Squad Protection. I strongly caution anyone purchasing expensive devices or protection plans to be aware that this location may not honor valid, documented warranty claims—even when proof is provided.

    Great products! Glad there's a local store still left that we can buy interesting electronics. Tired of sending all my money to some out of town gazillionaire . Staff are friendly and very helpful too!

    Bought a TV that was sold as new, but the packaging told a very different story. The stand hardware bag was open and contained a Michelob Ultra bottle cap, and the power cord came in an H-E-B freezer bag. 🥴😒 Not exactly what you expect when buying new electronics from Best Buy. Definitely disappointing and concerning.

    Very crowded and staff didn't seem approachable. They were clearly busy with the holiday rush but a friendly hello or can I help you find something would have made the experience better. We walked around for about 45 min before just leaving the store without a purchase.

    I ordered a Zagg screen protector on the Best Buy website using a Best Buy gift card and reward certificate.. but when my order got canceled because I was not able to pick it up by their pickup deadline (only 5 days to pickup during the holidays??), I could not get my reward certificate back. I tried calling this store but it routed to someone else entirely who told me there’s nothing they can do, there’s absolutely no way to call and get connected to the store directly. Went to the store physically finally after work and everyone basically told me that there’s absolutely nothing that can be done. I was so frustrated.. I asked about price match, military discount etc. but no one budged or empathized. Finally, one person made all the difference.. Amerie came and took care of me. She was empathetic and super kind and I can’t thank her enough! Amerie deserves BEST employee award and all the accolades!! Thanks to her, I continue to have a good impression on Best Buy and will continue to shop here as long as they provide great customer service :) Thank you Amerie!!! 😊 Btw, this Best Buy store really needs to give some military discount. I swear they did before, hmm.
