- RLRobert LoefflerMar 19, 20265.0This is the first of a Geek Squad Review. My Alienware from Dell crashed its RAID0 SSD drives so I took it to a shop for data recovery, most of which was successful. I will pick up the laptop and the backed up data tomorrow. Now I need two disk hard drives to replaced the crashed ones. The very nice Geek behind the counter was very helpful today. He took me to the shelf and said they do have the disk drives I need, which I will need to buy before they install them. He also checked out a thumb drive backup I made a couple of years ago and said it looks like that will restore not only my operating system but all the programs as well. He made an appointment for me tomorrow at 4:40pm by which time I should have picked up my laptop and data from the data recovery expert. He says three days is how long it will take because they run diagnostics and reload the operating system before giving it back to me. So far so good!
