My wife and I are senior citizens, and we took advantage of Verizon's phone upgrade Christmas special. We saw the reviews of the Mont Belvieu Verizon store, and decided to go to another location. We changed our minds since we needed to go HEB which is located behind the Verizon store. We braced ourselves, due to what we had seen on the reviews, which wasn't too good.
We were pleantly surprised to be happily greeted by Mark. He was very pleasant, extremely knowledgeable, and showed a genuine desire to please the customer which is sadly becoming rare these days.
Mark made the entire process smooth, and stress free. We were so impressed that we also subscribed to Verizon's internet service which saved us 53% on our current internet provider!
Mark is an outstanding Verizon employee and should be recognized as such!
Update: My wife and I received our first bill, and we noticed that we were each individually charged for a YouTube account when only I had signed up for one.
We stopped by the Verizon Store to simply get a credit, and hopefully, have Mark assist us once again. Unfortunately, Mark was working at another location. WOW!! What a completely different, and very unpleasant experience. We walked in, and it was like we were invisible. We finally were acknowledged after about 15 minutes. In what should have taken only a couple of minutes to rectify, took 45 minutes to an hour only to be told that they were not able to give credits at the store. She should have told us that when we first spoke with her . She said that we would have to call customer service. The employee, Opal, even coped an attitude, and told us that we needed to drive to the location that Mark was working at since he helped us with the initial phone plan upgrades and signed us up for the YouTube account.
Lastly, my wife was told by two Male employees that she could NOT use their restroom, and that she would have to go to another stores restroom. She was told it was for Verizon employees only! We are Verizon CUSTOMERS!
Needless to say, we will never, ever go to this Verizon Store again. They are rude, and incompetent. They went from 5 stars with Mark to a -5 stars with this group of employees.
