  I sat on the phone to schedule an appt for 15 mins for battery replacement and the lady tried to tell me the wrong location. Then when I arrived they took a few mins to come out (no biggie). When he finally came out, he got my information. Then he’s just busy typing away. I tell him that I already put the battery inside but my laptop wasn’t cutting on. He tried charging me $100 for diagnostics and $60 for battery replacement when I wanted them to just simply look at it. Then he got upset cause I didn’t want the diagnostics and as I was about to pay for the battery replacement he said it would be 48 hours…. I went to an independent repair and they confirmed I inserted it correctly and sent me on my way in 10 mins

  Read and listen to the reviews, 0 would be the best. Unskilled untrained technicians who really don't give a darn. They had 3 hard drives to backup, 4 days later,,,,,,one they stated they recovered the 2nd they stated they partially recovered the 3rd they could not recover.. ok, however the 1 they partially recovered they never save the data and destroyed the drive and couldn't re-recover it. They were very nonchalant about their mistake didn't care and offer the $20 malware product in lieu of their huge mistake.

  Book an appointment and go to Micro Center instead. The wait wasn't too bad, but the people just try to rush you into giving them the computer and buying the $200/year subscription for the service without even offering any info as how how they plan to diagnose and fix the issue. After this, I booked an appointment with Micro Center and had a tech working with me to diagnose the problem. They went through the process and told me what they planned to do, all for a much lower price. Geek Squad did not.
