Do not take your baby here !! I wish I had read the reviews before rushing my Dixie Girl there today . Dixie was puking & had blood in her stool, we were charged $125 before we were even taken to the back , Dixie puked 6 times, no one even came to check on her for 2 hours, finally the doctor walks in , greets her , says she needs blood work & x-rays , walks out & sends someone else with a breakdown of the cost $1,739.68 - $2,206.03 . In the past her vets have approached her stomach problems 1 thing at a time , given her anti nausea meds , anti diarrhea & fluids , told me to moniter her & if she didn't improve bring her back for blood work stating if that didn't show anything then they could do x-rays or additional test. I mentioned all of this to the doctor. I rushed her there thinking it was an immediate emergancy , after 2 hours it was clear that no one in the office believed it was , i would have paid for the test if she could have explained why this time was possibly different then other times Dixie has had a similar issue . But she said without all of the test she couldn't say what was wrong . As a doctor I would have thought she could have made an educated guess , from best case to worst case , laid out the options & gave me her best informed opinion , but all she could say was bloodwork & x-rays , crazy though the print out had a lot more items then just the 2 things she stated ??? Basically I paid $125 , to introduce Dixie to a doctor she will never see again .

Very nice, immediate attention. Cat caught his tail in the door and stripped off all the fur, about 2 inches at the top. Price quote was $3800 for the surgery. We declined and got it bandaged and got medication for still steep price of $507. Called our regular vet, unfortunately 100 miles away out in the country and still private, not a corporation. Price quote there was $350 and maybe $50 for medication. It just seems ridiculous to make that much price difference.
So kitty has to wait 2 days, unfortunately
Would have loved to get it done immediately.

Our dogs have been patients of VCA Metroplex for over 30 years. In that time and with many of our fur babies given the most professional and kindest care, I can say without reservation…VCA is OUTSTANDING! From puppies taken in for their first visit to our senior babies end of life care the doctors, techs, and front desk staff have become family. If you are looking for excellent veterinary care that is reliable for routine and when needed, emergencies VCA Metroplex look no further. Michelle P

This is my second review and I am highly upset. The dog was having seizures and that’s what I told the doctor so they went off of that and come to find out after the dog died three days later it had nothing to do with seizures and all the medicine they have given we had to give a reverse reaction so this hospital charged me close to $600 and falsely diagnose her. I would never ever take my bed to one of these hospitals again if they would’ve did the blood work which was included in the $625 price they might’ve gotten the results faster and found out what was wrong with her, but they eliminated that all because they thought I was acting funny, but they didn’t understand my reason for acting that way and they didn’t even address it as you can see below in the comments now they want to address it.
They were very nice, but didn’t seem very concerned about me. I tried to explain to them that I couldn’t be in the room because of some dramatic experience I just went through, but they didn’t seem to care just told me I had to wait there for the doctor then it’s never explained why you’re paying $625. They just start doing things and don’t keep you posted or anything you don’t even see the dog or what they’re doing to the dog.I just don’t understand how a dog’s life is more important than a human life in cost. Because I didn’t have the money, I just was gonna let you go home with your dog sick and having seizures

My wife just called about their free coupon for a check up & they said they could not find an account under her name. Rightly so because she doesn’t have an account. I do. Well, turns out they looked me up then said that she’s attached to the account. WITHOUT CONSENT. I’ve had my younger dog treated here in the past but that was just wrong of them to add my wife without consent. Dodged a bullet, our older one should get better care than that and I wouldn’t want to take her there if they’re already doing things like this.
