  If I could give ZERO STARS I WOULD.. Robin the kennel tech is so rude, Ive caught her yelling at my pets and when I expressed this to management NOTHING has been done. Not only that she has been passive aggressive towards me but she has been openly been homophobic towards me for having colored hair.. NEVER going back there, I will be taking my business elsewhere. She should be reported.

  I’m just confused on where everything went wrong and no one is giving me answers which really sucks because I was nothing but nice and respectful to everyone which I feel is the way you always should be no matter what . I took my dog Wes here a few days ago she was throwing up , not acting like herself and very dehydrated from throwing up so much . I explained to everyone there my dog had thrown up over 20 times and that is not normal . When I got in there everyone gaslit me and told me my dog was okay . That she was just gassy basically and gave her nausea medicine. That same day I left the vet I called hours later my dog still wasn’t acting normal , she wasn’t throwing up anymore but when she drunk water she had a thick saliva coming out almost like mucus . They told me on the phone and I’m sure they have it recorded . That my dog was fine and that was just because she was nauseous. The blood work finally came in and the lady sent me a voicemail Dr.Brown stating that my dog once again was fine , blood work showed everything was normal and when I called for the second time to talk with the results she reassured me everything was fine , she said that in the Xray it basically showed Wes had diarrhea that was about to flow through which is normal . She told me everything else is fine her thyroids were abit low but said that was nothing to be worried about she told me all the bloodwork matched what she told me and I have this audio saved . My dog indeed was not fine and the next day I came home from work and she was dead . Can you imagine . You come home from work to find your dog of almost 8 years dead . Your dog that has been with you through homelessness, your dog that you got when you got very sick and almost died , that dog that was by your bedside . Your dog that was your only friend when you had no one else when you had a TBI injury and was having seizures, your dog who learned how to grab your medicine the days you were sick and couldn’t reach it . Who put her nose on your leg when you took your injection because she sensed you were in pain . The only thing in life you had left that dog . And to make it worse they showed no compassion. I think that’s what stung more than seeing my dog be carried out . I called I was crying , it was no empathy . I went to the front desk no empathy . The front desk lady told me Dr.brown said she doesnt know how my dog died and that they will email me what I’m asking for . As I’m typing this review I visited the vet over a hour ago still no email . I asked to talk with Dr.brown no phone call . I get it places are busy . I’ll never take away from that . But you don’t have a heart ? You don’t have compassion. If you’re confused about how my dog died , imagine how the OWNER feels . I get it private buisness make your money , keep your job at the end of the day . Most of them won’t read the review and if they do they’ll go home and sleep it off . But for me … this is my life , this is my dog the only thing I had and she’s dead . Not only that I spent over $400 at this vet in the span of 4 days . No refund , no offers for condolences nothing . I didn’t even hear sorry for your loss not once . I’ve always been kind I’ve never raised my voice at anyone , I’ve said Thankyou after every call . I’ve been more than patient and I still have to leave without my bestfriend . If you work in a vet place pick up some tips and aleast show some compassion and empathy or this field isn’t for you . I work in the mental health field and would never brush someone off that is clearly struggling the way I just was . RIP WES . My bestfriend forever and always . You saved my life I’m so sorry I couldn’t save yours . 💔 - Update , Dr.Brown called me and she was very nice and apologetic. I am still keeping this review up as I told her when I walked in they treated me like money told me how much it was going to be for my dog no sorry for your loss . I cried on their outside bench seen someone pass right by me . Sad to see when you’re experiencing this . But Dr.Brown is very nice and caring .

  Kind workers, got me in quickly even though I had no appointment, the vet was very straight forward and honest with me and did all she could to help my snake even suggesting going elsewhere when she said that he needed more care

  Our dog was declining quickly from heart failure. It was a Saturday, and after calling several vets with no luck getting an appointment, VCA Lakeside Animal Hospital got us in the same day. Unfortunately, we had to make the heartbreaking decision to put our sweet girl down. Every single staff member was incredibly kind and compassionate. They treated our dog with such care and gave us the time and space we needed during one of the hardest moments for our family. They truly made a painful experience feel a little more peaceful. We are so grateful for the care and empathy they showed us and will always appreciate how they helped us say goodbye to our girl. I cannot recommend VCA Lakeside Animal Hospital enough.
