  VCA Lovers has cared for my dog for almost 5 years. They are competent and provide good service. There has been a recent turn to a "retailing strategy". You come in for a specific need, then you are offered a menu of tests and other procedures on an iPad your dog DOES NOT NEED. I came in for two shots and the menu added to about $1,000. One test was $360 and what it was for was not clear. The other test I turned down (heartworm) was $160 - when I turned down this one I was offered a cheaper one at $80. Really? I will miss the vets from VCA Lovers but I won't be returning. Many businesses use retailing strategies to increase revenue, but it is not effective if you lose your customers' trust.

  My puppy had Kennel Cough, and Dr. Blake was fantastic! She provided everything he needed to recover and even followed up with a call to check on his progress. The receptionists and technicians were also very sweet and caring. I highly recommend this place—10/10!

  April 4th, I took my baby Buttercup into the office using the free coupon. First of all, the staff that dealt with me were not anything special. They did not do any checking on her. I heard them behind the door discussing the coupon I had. I had 100.00 to my name and he would not give her the heartworm test cuz according to him, it would tell me if she had heartworm disease but would not get her anywhere. I didn't have the money for the total which they wanted almost 300.00 for all test. He didn't even examine her. I felt that day when I left that they were not the right place that I thought they would be. I hope you all are pleased. I lost my furbaby 3 weeks ago. You discriminated against the fact that I did not have all the money you wanted. All you cared about was getting the total amount and not taking my 100 to do the test to start out with. That could have helped save her. I will never forgive you for this. Trying to direct me out the door as quickly as possible. I hope everyone reads this and knows the way you treat our babies :(.
