Yesterday was one of the hardest days of my life as I made the difficult decision to let my beloved Fawn go. The compassion, patience, and understanding that everyone in the office showed made an unbearable moment a little more peaceful. Every person we encountered treated Fawn and me with such kindness and respect, ensuring she was comfortable and surrounded by love until the very end. I’ll always be grateful for the gentle care and empathy you provided. It truly meant the world during such a painful time. Thank you for helping Fawn transition with dignity and compassion.

I am very disappointed with my experience at this vet office. I scheduled an appointment yesterday morning for my sick dog to be seen today at 11:30. Since we are new to the area, I was hoping to establish care here. Instead, they called me this morning—just two hours before my scheduled appointment—to tell me it had been canceled because I “didn’t confirm” when they called yesterday. No one told me at the time of scheduling that I needed to confirm, and considering I had literally just made the appointment yesterday, I found this extremely unprofessional. I work with clients daily, so I fully understand the importance of cancellations and confirmation policies. But this was complete nonsense to cancel on someone—especially with a sick pet—without ever telling me that was their policy. To make matters worse, when I explained that my dog is sick and I had planned my entire day around this visit, they only offered me a different time slot just 30 minutes from when they called, which I couldn’t make due to a work commitment. At that point, I told them I would be taking my business elsewhere. Canceling an appointment without warning, especially one made less than 24 hours earlier, is absolutely unacceptable. Thankfully, I was able to find another vet who got me in today. I will not be returning here.

We have 14 animals, all strays that we have taken in. I have rescued over 100 animals in my lifetime. We are good customers of VCA. But my wife just left there in tears. The receptionist was beyond rude and I guess the constant flow of money we send their way doesnt matter. The tech I talked to was not nice either. They dont need your business apparently. Or deserve it.

I've been taking my dog to VCA Lakewood at the corner of Richmond and Abrams. Since I moved to Lakewood about 13 years ago. The doctors there are very knowledgeable and caring. The texts are very gentle with my dog and do a good job handling her when she needs shots. The receptionists are very friendly. They seem to run on time most of the time so it doesn't take a whole day to get things done there. All in all I would recommend them for the care of anybody's pets.

Called this location to schedule euthanasia for my dog. This was an emotional decision for me. I was told they would charge me to examine my dog. I explained that my dog had cancer and was treated at the Trinity Mills oncology center. They said I would have to pay. Hey if they don’t believe my dog had cancer I’m due approx $12k refund. Totally heartless. Would never take my pet to such uncaring people
