I went in on 1/6/2026 to pick up my dog’s regular Simparica—something he’s been on consistently. My dog was just diagnosed with lymphoma earlier that same day, and I explained that he is currently undergoing treatment. I also clearly stated that once he’s cleared, he will be getting his yearly vaccines.
Instead of showing even an ounce of compassion, the Hispanic woman at the counter looked me dead in the eye and coldly said they would still need a heartworm test before releasing his medication. No empathy. No acknowledgment of what I had just shared. No apology. Nothing.
I had literally just received devastating news about my dog’s cancer, and the complete lack of humanity was shocking. When you work with animals and their owners—especially in a veterinary setting—basic compassion should be the bare minimum.
This interaction was the final straw and exactly why I moved my dog to a different clinic. If you don’t have a heart or the ability to treat people with kindness during extremely emotional moments, you should not be working with the public at all.

Brought my Pom Zoé, in for a couple of concerns that ended up being minor, everyone was super helpful and welcoming. I’d definitely recommend this location and Dr. Lorena Gutierrez, she’s great and we will be making her our puppy’s primary vet.

This was our first visit with our adopted dog. The entire staff (front office, techs, & vet) made the visit a very pleasant & positive experience. The questions were all addressed by the staff giving us information we could use now as well as in the future. Very happy to have them caring for our newest family member.
