    I recently bought the total care membership thinking it would be great for the up keep of my laptop. I was wrong, my computer just stopped charging and died. I took it in to see what they could do, said they would need to send it in for about $70 then they would tell me what was wrong and how much it would be to fix it. Said I should probably just buy a new laptop. So I took it to a local repair guy. Who called me within 30 mins and said that my computer was fixed and ready to go. It just needed a reset. Charged me $30 and now he's my hero. Geeksquad sucks!

    Wait time is insufferable. Service is even more so. Let me just rant really quick. I told Geek Squad that my computer was crashing upon benching the CPU, likely due to a faulty hardware component causing overheating. I listed multiple symptoms in line with this theory to a bored looking guy at the counter, and all he wrote down was that my computer was overheating and blue screening with no further details about possible cause. He did not care whatsoever about what I was saying. Yeah, I totally get it- I'm a young woman! Surely I don't know what I'm talking about regarding my powerful gaming PC, right? Right. I was told the whole process would take about two weeks, but after dropping it off, the computer sat rotting in the store for over a week. I tried to call to check what was going on (which I really do not recommend); the call was repeatedly passed around before eventually being dropped. The line went "busy" after that. I ended up having to physically go into the store to get Best Buy to actually ship my computer instead of letting it collect dust. After walking in, the computer was finally sent out, but Geek Squad tested ONLY the GPU, found nothing, and sent it back. A couple emails back and forth encouraged them to send it back out to test what I actually asked for, and this time it was sent to a separate location that did diagnose the problem. And guess what? It was EXACTLY what I told them in the first place. The cooling system was faulty, which is a well-documented fault of my generation of processor which was patched a few months after its release, hence my theory that upon benching the CPU, the computer would overheat and blue screen. SHOCKER. You know, maybe if my concerns were taken seriously in the first place, I wouldn't have had to wait for a month and a half to get anything done. As of now, the repair tracking has not been updated since three days ago and says that the computer is "on its way back". FEDEX states that it is already in my city. Does it really take over four days to bring a package from a processing center to a Best Buy? I am at quite possibly the end of my rope. I use my computer daily to game, draw, interact with friends, and even work. Losing it for nearly a MONTH AND A HALF, when I was told two weeks, is unacceptable. Geek Squad in Corpus Christi has given quite possibly the worst service I could have asked for. For the love of god, I know that not many people know what they're talking about. But at least try to take your customers more seriously, even if you don't really believe them. Please and thank you.

    We were having issues with a company computer. We are a Nationwide Real Estate company and cannot afford to not have the computer down. Our usual IT was unavailable to help us and Geek Squad specifically Remote Agent Mugilan was so kind, courteous and knowledgeable. He was patient with us while we were getting frustrated and impatient. Mugilan was able to fix our issues in 40 minutes and our system has been running smoothly since he helped. And to top it off- since he was a Level 1 Agent who was able to resolve the issue IT WAS ABSOLUTELY FREE. Will definitely be utilizing Geek Squad more often!
