  Our dog was in very bad shape after a different vet tried to remove a mass. The other VET suggested we take her to a Vet ER when we called because there was an issue with the healing. We called VCA and even though they are not an ER they saw us the same day. I do not say this lightly; VCA really did save our dog's life. Great Doctors and Great Staff! Thanks Again All.

  I love this clinic, staff and doctors-- they have felt like family for over a decade! I have been using VCA Tanglewood for my dogs' care since 2016 when I moved to South Austin with my Bichon Frise. The first two boys have since passed and I now have a seven year old German Shepherd. My GSD absolutely adores the staff, as he started going to VCA shortly after I brought him home at 8 weeks old. I used to bring him in weekly, on Saturday mornings shortly after the clinic opened simply to weigh him to know how much to feed him the following week since he grew rapidly (all GSD pet parents will understand the struggle, lol) They even supported our recent move to Edinburgh, Scotland and made sure Rex was ready for both the USDA certification I did at another vet's office downtown, as well as his two flights to the UK. When my GSD began experiencing leash reactivity, the staff made accommodations to get him to an exam room from the back of the clinic & eventually the new and convenient side gate. I've forgotten to pay after our visits several times (sorry, y'all!) and I was never treated with anything else than professionalism. Every doctor we have seen over the years have been helpful, attentive and compassionate toward each of my dogs needs. I would and have recommended this office to all pet parents!

  This is the best veterinarian I have ever been to. I would highly recommend. Everyone was really nice and explained everything thoroughly and they were patient with my cat. They didn't pressure me into buying anything extra. Just all around put us at ease and helped our cat. Thank you! 🙏

  the WORST animal care! veterinarians are TRAINED to deal with aggressive animals, such as cats for example. there are procedures that come with aggressive animals. there is PROTOCOL FOR THIS. calling animal control on an animal THERE CLEARLY WERE SIGNS OF AGGRESIVNESS, WAY BEFORE HANDLING THEM and this facility proceeded to call animal control as if he was a stray cat and not a patient, if you will. absolutely disgusting and shameful on this clinic. --if I could select 0 stars, I most definitely would but due to creating an actual review you cannot. LOL. do not take your fur babies here!
