if I could give this store a 0 i would. For one the rep was barely at the table with us and kept leaving to the back to “talk with the manager”. Funny enough the manager was right behind us dealing with another customer. Fast forward J (the rep) started our transfers finally, as we were conversing he has said some alarming things. He made a comment about not going through your girls phone because, “there’s always that one guy in her phone that is just a friend but you know it’s not.” Then not even second later pops off with a very homophobic statement in front of me (someone apart of the LGBTQ). Stating that he sometimes has to question if some customers names are truly stephanie or if they were a steven before. I think that is absolutely disgusting and if that’s what Verizon stands for then i’m out.

The customer service reps at this store were so unhelpful they need a new word for unhelpful. We drove an hour to this location because they were the only corporate store with a 17 max pro with the size and capacity my wife needed. My wife needed to exchange her new 17 pro phone (the battery life on the brand new 17 pro is not at all comparable). Right off the bat when we walked in, the main customer service rep who was a tall bigger gentleman (there were three there twiddling their thumbs and the store was complete empty) said they would not be able to do an exchange in 15 minutes (it was 7:42 and the store was closing at 8:00). It was clear by his dismissive tone that he wanted to end the night and was done working. When my wife said she didn’t want the transfer and just desperately wanted to exchange her phone, they said that was ok and asked for id. She didn’t have her id (she had a picture of her id and passport and is on the account) and the one slightly helpful rep told her that as long as she had the receipt from her purchase saved to her email, they could process the exchange. As she pulled her email up, the main unhelpful rep who was more interested in wrapping up the night went in the back and then came back and said because she wanted the Max Pro and not the Max, it would change the bill and she needed her id to do that and her having the receipt in her email from the original purchase didn’t help. They said they couldn’t help further and went back to doing nothing for the next 10 minutes while my wife and I left the store and attempted to call 611 to get help to no avail. This experience is exactly why people are leaving Verizon in waves. Side note-When my wife originally got the phone she was trying to exchange at the 8th avenue Nashville location, the customer service rep was so very helpful, didn’t watch the clock despite closing during our time there, and didn’t throw corporate tape impediments in front of her despite at the time her needing to make a change to the account that also increased the bill and her not being the account holder. I say all that to say, some people care about the customer and some people do the bare minimum. The customer service reps at the Murfreesboro location do the bare minimum in my opinion.
Despite being a loyal customer for 20 years, my wife is done with Verizon. I thankfully am up for an upgrade soon and plan on getting the phone she wants and transferring her over to my new phone and taking the one she wanted to exchange, all of which we will be doing at Apple.
