I hope this helps the next pet parent who is considering this clinic & doctors. I can’t even begin to put into words how grateful I am to have been welcomed by such a caring, supportive, sympathetic team - from the front desk to the techs, assistants & of course Dr. Higgins. I haven’t even been apart of the family for a month but yet their love & companionship has been so loud for both me & my beloved Nala. I first walked in on November 17th to get a second opinion for my dog who was having some swelling issues. Dr. Higgins examined my girl & was just so kind to her. He right away gave me his thoughts on what he thought was going on with Nala. They did a biopsy and later confirmed she had lymphoma. I was devastated but never once felt the care of my dog wasn’t in the right hands. I had thousands of questions & Dr. Higgins always answered them right away, no hesitation. He was very comforting during this transition period. I never once felt like I was a burden by my questions or concerns. Unfortunately Nala lost her battle to lymphoma on December 3rd. This is the part of experience that I cherish the most in all of this. Having to decide to transition your pet over to the other side of the bridge is never easy but Carla & Dr. Higgins gave me & my family so much comfort during our devastation. His reassurance helped me understand that this was the best decision to make for my girl. The way Dr. Higgins not only addressed me but my family in the room showed his true level of compassion towards others. The way he spoke and delivered his message was as if he was experiencing this pet loss as well. If it was very personal and sincere and I knew it came from the bottom of his heart. I couldn’t have chosen a better clinic, team of doctors then this, I only wished it could’ve been a different outcome. To the entire VCA Creekside team, especially Dr. Higgins - thank you so much for your support & love during this journey. No words could describe how I feel, I only hope this review shows the half of my appreciation.
