- KAkianna alyssaNov 5, 20251.0I brought my chronically ill cat in for his respiratory booster shot, the same vet who has seen him since he was a kitten (he’s now 2) told me she couldn’t do it because of his breathing. I reassured her it was normal because every med they gave me didn’t work and I told them that but whatever not my point, she didn’t even glance at his chart because if she had, she’d see I had came in every month (sometimes every 2 I looked at my invoices on the app) for his medicine. I don’t like how the vets don’t look over charts, don’t change meds when it’s clearly not working all they did was add an immune booster powder to give him. If you work in healthcare in ANY FIELD, you NEED to be going over the charts to see if they have any current medical issues that aren’t the reason of the visit.

As a customer, I expect to be informed and listened to before any decisions are made regarding my pet’s care. I specifically told the young lady not to run a test on my dog because I was told what she had at the pet community center regarding her ears but she did it anyways and charged me for it. When I called to explain what happened to me I was apologized and was told that my situation would be brought up to billing and that I would get a call back. However, I was given the run around after having to call weekly and every time I called I was told the person that did billing was not in office and that they would send a message to her. However, today I was called and told that there is no way I would have not been told that they cannot give me a prescription for my dog without a test but that is exactly what happened to me, I was not told at any point and was a charged for something I specifically asked her NOT to do.
