I have been waiting in the ER for over 5 hours waiting for my wife to be seen. She was told she needed "major care". Many other people with less serious needs have been seen AND released since our arrival. The staff here explained that they seen before us was due to the fact that the lesser cares areas aren't as busy. Triage here is crap

I recently used the Outpatient Services at Spartanburg Medical Center. I was pleasantly surprised how friendly and efficient the staff was not just out front but also those that took care of me. Great staff!

This ER was an absolute disgrace. 6 hours and we maybe had 15 mins of contact between the nurse and doctor. The nurse didn't even introduced herself. Puts us in a cold room, no blankets or pillow, and only a draw sheet as a make shift sheet. Mind you they kept the door open for most of the time and about 5 nurses were sitting at the desk. The floor has batedine all over it. The nurse dropped something and already had her gloves on and picked it up without changing gloves before administrating iv meds, granted she didn't touch the iv tubing or else I would have said something but she should have left it on the floor. Wasn't explained anything, doc told us to wait even more after a 2 min explain what his results are. When I walked out after another hour of waiting to look for someone couldn't find a single person at the nurses desk at a trama ER, y'all clearly were not that busy to treat and have time to explain and take time for the patient at hand, we were from out of town so I guess we weren't priority, but I was absolutely sickened from the treatment and disgusting that place was, like no compassion at all, we did eventually did get some after saying we're leaving A.M.A. we will go back home where we can never get enough warm blankets and prompt adequate care!

My Husband had a 2nd back surgery. They had to work from the middle of his back all the way to the bottom. The back surgery went well. But afterwards he had a bleeding ulcer. He started bleeding so bad that a Rapid Response team had to come in & they rushed him to ICU. It took a coil that didn’t work to a clamp that did work. Thanks to Dr. Malcolm, he saved his life. Also the team that work there are excellent. They really care for all their patients. Thank you to all for working to save his life. I don’t know what I’d do w/out my Husband.
