As someone who spent 15 years in retail management, I fully understand how difficult it can be to get through the busy holiday shopping season and how demanding customers can sometimes be. I always strive to be respectful and patient with retail employees, even when circumstances are stressful. That’s why my experience at Best Buy today was so disappointing. I recently purchased a television on sale, primarily because it included free next-day delivery, saving me a 45-mile round trip and extra money on gas. When the TV was delivered by Roadie, it was left propped against my front door in a concerning position. As soon as I saw the box, I noticed a significant crease down the side, and upon opening it, discovered the screen was shattered and the frame was warped. When I called the store, I was told to bring the TV in for a replacement. Although it was inconvenient, I made the long drive to the store to resolve the issue. The return process seemed straightforward until I realized that because I had used a reward certificate on my original purchase, I was now expected to pay an additional $5 out-of-pocket for the replacement due to a processing delay with the certificate refund. While I understand mistakes happen, I don’t feel it’s right for customers to incur additional costs when the original problem was completely outside of their control. The manager (John, in a bright yellow/green shirt) seemed more focused on correcting his employee in front of me than actually helping resolve my issue. Despite explaining my situation, I was told there was nothing they could do and I’d just have to wait for the certificate to be refunded. What bothers me most is not the $5 itself, but the principle—and the lack of concern shown for the inconvenience and extra cost I was forced to bear as a result of receiving a damaged product. If the store is going to hold itself up as a top-tier retailer, it should take ownership of issues like these and do what’s right for the customer, especially when the error was on their end. Despite my understanding for how demanding retail can be, I walked away feeling like my concerns didn’t matter. This experience will impact my future purchasing decisions at Best Buy, and I hope management sees this as an opportunity to improve—not just for me, but for other customers who may find themselves in similar situations.

Went into the Best But store in Spartanburg, SC to buy my wife a laptop for her birthday. I pretty much knew what I wanted but had some questions and needed some help. I stood by the laptops for 15 minutes or more while several employees looked at me never bothering to help. They had plenty of time to chat and look at their phones as the place was basically empty. After the 15 minutes, I went to the front of the store and spoke to the gentleman who greets you when you walk in and confirms receipts when leaving. I told him I needed help, been waiting for 15 plus minutes, and was basically being ignored. He said he would call someone and have them help me. After another 15 minutes and no help, but people still looking at their phones and being ignored, I decided to walk out. As I left, I told the gentleman at the exit/entrance that I never got any help, what horrible service, and I would never buy anything from Best Buy again. The worst customer service ever and I was there to purchase and spend probably a thousand dollars or more. I have bought a TV’s, soundbars, DVD players, etc from Best Buy and this location over many years, but that comes to an end today. As stated perviously, I will never buy anything or set foot in one of their stores again. Loyal customer for many years, but no longer. I will also tell everyone I know about my experience and tell them to avoid this store. This is a perfect example of of companies go out of business.

Okay so when Best Buy says it’s an open box sale they mean it. I bought online an open box very downgraded HP 6 GB all in one to basically web browse to my security cameras. It was about 40.00 more than a brand new off brand display. Seeing as it would allow me to transfer security videos to a memory stick it would be a good choice. I was pressed for time that day, and after working until 7:30 PM I headed to Best Buy for what I thought was a ten minute stop to pick it up. I was heading to an elderly persons house to check on their dishwasher which was showing sporadic errors. When I got there they brought out the All in one display, keyboard and mouse all wrapped up. A store display unit they said. Three parts but without a power supply. Basically now it’s a tray table or boat anchor. They suggested I could buy a 60.00 universal power supply. I suggested they credit me back my purchase and as soon as possible. About 10 banking days. Lessons learned don’t trust anything without all the actual accurate photos. Avoid buying from Best Buy of Spartanburg. Best Buy of Spartanburg your best way to sell things are full and accurate disclosure. It will be a long time before I purchase anything from this store in the future.

I went to the Spartanburg location on Blackstock rd with the full intention of purchasing a refrigerator, stove, microwave and dishwasher to have delivered to my moms house. Her appliances now are old but still nice so I asked her if she would donate them to a veterans program if I replaced them with all new. Of course she said. Well it took me over an hour to pick out what she wanted while I had her on the phone FaceTime. Not one employee acknowledged me in any way at all. So I went to the return desk where I was told they would call someone assist me. Keep in mind that I told them what I was there to purchase. I went and sat at the sales desk where I was told to and 17 minutes later… no body! I mean the employees walked right by me time after time again. So I got up and went over to the 2 guys that I spoke to earlier and I said Well, yall I have been in this store for 1 1/2 hours alone! I asked for help and help never showed. I sat right where I was told to and was even in their sight while I sat and waited! So this $8,917.00 plus tax sale is walking out the door and I want to thank you for letting me come into store and pick out what I plan to purchase. Now I am off to a totally different store to buy my Moma new appliances since yall don’t care whether you make a sale for your company or not.!!! True story!

I've visited this Best Buy on several occasions for a variety of needs—from a major appliance purchase to just grabbing a specific cable. Each time, I've left feeling impressed with the level of service and the overall store environment. What stands out most is the staff. It's always been easy to find an employee, and they are consistently knowledgeable and genuinely willing to help. They take the time to answer questions and explain product features without being pushy, which makes for a much more comfortable and informative shopping experience. It’s a refreshing change of pace from simply trying to figure things out on your own. The store itself is always clean, well-organized, and brightly lit, which makes it easy to navigate and find what you're looking for. In an age where online shopping is so common, it’s great to have a reliable physical store where you can see the products firsthand and get expert advice. Overall, this location is well-managed and staffed by a great team. It's my go-to spot for any tech needs, and I'm always happy to recommend it
