Great service! There was a line but you have to expect that at such a busy store. I brought 3 old computers that I was having difficulty getting the data off. They did a great job!

Absolute nonsense. I came to Best Buy Greenville (Geek Squad) because AppleCare said they'd replace my cracked screen for $29. After waiting 40 minutes, they told me they can't fix it because "broken parts might fly around" what kind of excuse is that? Only the screen was cracked, yet they said I had to replace the whole phone. Total dishonest and the most ridiculous service l've ever experienced.

The appointments that are required for service do not reserve a spot. They have unlimited appointment availability and limited staff to help customers, so even though you have an appointment scheduled, you might have to wait for a VERY long time. I waited 40 minutes to drop off my computer earlier this week. (No support needed on the spot, just drop off.). I had to schedule an appointment to pick up my repaired computer, but I’m in line with people who believe they have consultations scheduled for an hour, among others. There is no sorting based on service scheduled and they are no longer using the display indicating your place in line. There are 3 people working and 8 people in line in front of me, and 6 behind me. No one in line has been greeted and one of the techs is having friendly chatter with a customer who appears lonely. They haven’t talked about the computer or looked at it in almost 20 minutes….and counting.

From my experience, it is best to visit the store and work directly with Geek Squad by scheduling an appointment, rather than seeking assistance over the phone. Individuals who claim to provide Geek Squad support and request remote access to your computer should not be trusted under any circumstances. In-store support is excellent; the staff work closely with customers, answer questions thoroughly, and explain processes clearly. They dedicate the necessary time to resolve issues, which may sometimes require leaving your computer overnight. After encountering a scam involving PayPal, they effectively cleaned both my computer and phone. I am now returning to have them assist with upgrading to Windows 11, which has become a requirement from Microsoft, although I would prefer not to install this program.

I chose Best Buy because they are an Apple Authorized Service Provider and made an appointment online to have my daughter’s iPhone screen replaced. In the booking, I listed the phone model and issue. About 30 minutes before the appointment, Best Buy called to confirm—but the tech had the wrong phone model on file and then said he needed to check on parts availability. He later confirmed they had the necessary parts. My daughter had already driven an hour to the appointment, so we moved forward. However, when she arrived on time, she was told the repair couldn’t be completed because they didn’t actually have the required parts/tools. To make matters worse, when she referenced Apple’s listed replacement cost for her iPhone 15 screen ($279), the tech quoted her $750. After all this, Geek Squad/Best Buy made no effort to acknowledge or remedy the inconvenience. I understand mistakes happen, but this could have easily been avoided with better communication earlier in the day. Mind you, I made the appt 4.5 hours prior to the scheduled appt and they didn’t call until just prior to the scheduled time. Unfortunately, the lack of consistency and coordination among staff left a very poor impression.
