Somehow — in a shocking and heroic turn of events — I was guided by an actual angel in an Apple shirt who didn’t once sigh, blink too slow, or question how I’ve survived this long. For the record, I am completely tech illiterate. I don’t know what half the buttons on my phone do — and yet they treated me like a respected, capable adult instead of someone who needed a sippy cup and parental controls. They even accepted my CASH like we were in some old-timey western trading post. I felt powerful. I felt seen. I felt ALIVE. Within minutes, they had helped me choose the AirPods perfectly suited for my hardworking, roaming-the-streets, weather-braving mailman husband. (Apparently not all ears are created equal. Who knew.) I entered tech-illiterate and trembling. I exited confident and victorious. Thank you.
