Very poor service, normally apple has great salespeople, but in this store, it’s really hard to get someone to help you. If you have the option just pick another location.

Holding me hostage!!! … If you forget your Apple ID they will hold you hostage by not resetting your Apple ID for an indefinite period of time! I have surgery and all types of things planned I can’t access. I can’t even pay my Apple Card bill. Expect have no access to anything and they tell me it could take weeks. WOW!!!

My wife had an old iPhone for years. Went in for repairs with Apple care, and they said they’d order parts to fix it. One week later, the parts arrived, but it turns out they need to replace the phone instead. Another week for the phone to arrive. Then, they give her a new phone and take the old phone away before the data and service has been switched. It would have been much easier to start setting up the new phone instead store, instead of leaving her in the city without a working phone, having to set up the new phone again to restore from back up. Every stage of the process was a million times harder than it should be. She had a short woman of East Asian descent helping her, who was extremely incompetent. The whole process is insane and does not meet a fraction of the level of service we have so far enjoyed from Apple. Absolutely inexcusable.

Genius Bar appointment to fix back glass on 2 year old phone. They knew what phone I have and they knew the kind of repair I needed. I came in for the appointment and they told me they didn’t have the part required for the repair. Why does the system allow you to schedule appointments for services they cannot provide?
They ordered the part and I made an appointment to have my phone repaired once it came in. They had told me the repair would take ~1.5 hours. But when i arrived they told me they would have to keep the phone overnight. So essentially instead of 1.5 hours my phone would be with them for at least 18 hours. Why did they AGAIN allow me to schedule an appointment for a repair that they AGAIN could not complete during the time they allotted?!

Today, I visited the Walnut Apple store, Philadelphia, PA. I was helped by a young woman after we made eye contact. She was helpful. I told her I might need an external drive. She answered a few questions about what my problem was about. It was an interface problem, between three Cloud drives. She said it was not and she was correct. I told her I had a 10:30 appointment and it was about 10:15. She said someone would help me. I sat near the Genius Bar. There was lots of activity. People getting helped. It cleared out about 10:28. I went to a woman at the Genius Bar and said that I had an appointment and asked what do I do. I said, "What do I do if I have an appointment?" She replied, "You want an appointment or you have an appointment." I noticed right away, we have a communication problem. I said, "I have an appointment at 10:30." She said, "Oh, I will check you in and somebody will be with you. Go over to the bar and wait." So, I was leaving to go the the table I was sitting at previously. "Over" means somewhere else, right? She said, "no, the bar is here." I said, "Well, you said "over."" She said, something else, and, I just ignored it/her and sat down at the bar where I was at. Why engage in confusing conversation. Do you want a review? You got it. I waited and Jenny came. Very helpful. Jenny answered my questions, explained some things to me about the situation. I asked several more questions. We seemed to be communicating quite well. I took some notes. Jenny gave me some homework. She also reminded me I can get help online from Apple. All's good. I asked about an external hard drive. Jenny says they have one for 90$. I asked what size. "1TB." I said I will buy it. She brought over two. The $90 was a SanDisk. Older moveable parts hard drive. The other one was a bit more. It was the latest tech. No moveable parts. I asked how much. She said 180$. I said, "That's double. Not a bit more." She said, "Yeah, a bit more."
