  I went there yesterday for a battery replacement and I will say this they don’t greet the black people and only the white people. Yes even the black employees, however the Asian guy did help me and was very nice but I shouldn’t have to ask it’s kinda rude. Not surprised it’s always like this in Philly.

  Worst Apple Store I’ve ever been to. Incompetent staff, endless waiting, and zero understanding of Apple’s own products or services. I had to explain how trade-ins and AppleCare work, and they still failed to tell me what was needed to get full value. I came twice in one day. The second time I waited 50 minutes without anyone helping me and finally walked out. Completely unacceptable. Avoid this store at all costs — go to the Cherry Hill location instead.

  Ariana was so helpful today! I had an appointment on Sunday, but they wouldn't see me when I arrived, and everyone I dealt with only seemed to want to do check ins and diagnostics (for a cracked screen issue)- not actually look at my phone and help me. When my appointment time came and I was still waiting around, knowing they would still want to do a 'diagnostic' (which I thought I had already done? Why send me a link to do it before the appointment if I have to do it again?) I left, as I had another appointment. I came in today, and Ariana actually LOOKED at my phone, diagnosed the issue, and fixed it, right there in the front of the store. She is so helpful, and has completely reversed my previous bad opinion of Apple customer service from Sunday.

  It's about the people, and the people who work at this store are great. The person who greeted me to get me checked in for my genius bar appointment was pleasant and efficient. The tech expert who helped me solve my MacBook woes was Justin, and he was fantastic! You could say he was *just in* time (See what I did there?) I had spent hours online on my own and on the phone with Apple Support to no avail. Justin diagnosed and fixed the first problem within moments. The second and much bigger problem was both more important and more nettling. Justin not only thought of a solution that no one else had yet suggested, he then demonstrated the exceptional patience to walk me through the solution. Admittedly, I was not at my best —frustrated, worried— when I arrived. Justin didn't take any of that personally. He was professional and friendly throughout. Most importantly, he respected me enough to take me at my word when I gave him the list of trouble shooting steps I had already taken. That was a big improvement on the Apple Care phone center technicians who had made me repeat time-consuming steps. By according to a customer (it me!) the basic dignity of believing them, Justin bypassed a potential well of additional wasted time and jumped right to fixing the problem. Thanks, Justin! And thanks to management of the Walnut Street Apple Store for being smart enough to hire and retain a rare talent like Justin.
