After making me wait over 20 mins past my scheduled time the person helping me informed me that they couldn’t fix my phone because of a “system issue” after spending 15 mins trying to get me to buy a new phone. I’ve owned dozens of Apple devices over the years dating back to an Apple II but am seriously doubting I’ll be buying anymore, it doesn’t seem like they care about supporting anything beyond the factory warranty even if you’re willing to pay for a repair on a 2 year old phone

I recently worked with Zach at the Genius Bar and was blown away with my experience. He was so attentive and helpful and he answered all of my questions. I really appreciated his professionalism and friendliness. The staff were very polite and made sure I was taken back for my appointment right away. This was a fantastic experience, and I will definitely be back again in the future!

Thank you first off, to the two guys that help me and my son 🧩 I think I just got really lucky tho, got a newer ipad for the same price as his old one but also got a discount due to not having a case for kids.

As a longtime Apple user, I've always taken pride in how well I care for my devices, ensuring they remain in peak condition. However, my recent experiences at the Genius Bar have left me perplexed and disheartened. The service no longer feels "genius." What used to be a place of support and expertise has, sadly, transformed into a frustrating assembly line. I find it hard to believe that one technician is expected to juggle four or five customers at once—this multitasking approach strips away the personal touch and genuine assistance that once defined the Apple experience. Instead of feeling valued, I often feel like just another number in a queue, attended to by staff who seem robotic in their responses. It's frustrating to witness such a stark departure from the attentive service I once enjoyed. The entire premise of AppleCare+ is to provide peace of mind when issues arise, yet I find myself bewildered. When my device malfunctions—something so evident to the technicians—it's as if they are reluctant to assist. They seem to prefer that I leave, potentially damaging my device further just to justify a replacement. This approach feels illogical to me; I take meticulous care of my gadgets, and the expectation to "break" a device just to receive the service I've already paid for seems absurd. In an effort to resolve my frustrations, I reached out to Apple Support by phone. To my relief, they promptly agreed to replace my device—a contrast that left me wondering why in-store service seems so disconnected from the support provided over the phone. How is it that the same company can offer such different experiences? The leadership within the store needs to recognize that this hands-off, profit-oriented approach is alienating loyal customers like myself. There's a noticeable void in empathy, with staff members lacking the warmth and understanding that once characterized Apple's customer interaction. It feels like there’s now a palpable fear among employees of taking the initiative to do the right thing. Instead, they resort to endless tests and diagnoses, despite clearly evident issues. If they can see there's a matter at hand, why not just replace the device? Doing so would foster loyalty and trust, as customers would feel secure with their devices knowing that Apple stands behind its products. It's deeply upsetting. With 15 years of experience as an IT specialist, I pride myself on delivering the highest quality service and always going the extra mile for my clients. It’s disheartening to witness a hiring practice that seems to prioritize quantity over quality, overlooking the fundamental need for knowledgeable and competent staff. This shift away from genuine service has transformed what was once the Genius Bar into a Stressing Bar, where customers leave feeling frustrated rather than supported.
