  Best Buy is in decline. Three months ago I placed a pre-order, and two days before the product was due to be delivered, they canceled everything after I had waited all this time. I find this kind of practice very irresponsible on their part because if you order and pay for something you've already purchased, they never contacted me, not even a message or email. The next day I went to their store and they told me the product was out of stock, that only six people had purchased it, and that one buyer had taken all the available stock. So I don't understand why they would open pre-orders without any stock available. It's a waste of time for me. As a company, they've lost credibility, and I don't intend to give them another penny. I'm also canceling the credit card I got from them.

  Went today to check out a laptop and printer for my son. Rei greeted me once I went in and she was very helpful in directing me where to go, as well as being knowledgeable about their products.

  The folks in the mobile installation are very helpful and kind. Fobs for my viper automatic start were not working. They took the time necessary to re-program them and did it with a helpful attitude.

  I like that I can walk into Best Buy and find a large selection of electronics. I find that it's often overpriced for what it is, but at least there is a reliable selection. I am torn between cheap Insignia branded electronics and something off the big online marketplace. I feel like they came from the same factory somewhere and online is often cheaper, but at least I can bring it back to the store if it's not working and I have immediate availability if it happens to be in stock. Bottom line is that generic national retail chains need to do a better job of cost control.
