At the same time, I was sold a Home Device Protection plan, clearly explained to me as coverage for all electronics in my home. I’ve been paying for this plan for seven months without issue — until the moment I actually needed it. When I finally submitted a claim, it was flat-out denied. I called to ask why, and Verizon’s solution was essentially: “Go buy a remote.” So I did. It didn’t work. When I called back, I was told it “wasn’t Verizon’s problem.” To make this even worse, on a later call (which I recorded), a Verizon representative explicitly stated that a technician would be sent out to inspect my TV and possibly replace it under the protection plan. No technician ever came. No follow-up. No resolution. So after seven months of paying: • for a WiFi system that never should’ve been sold to me • for a protection plan that doesn’t actually protect anything • and being given conflicting answers from multiple representatives I’m left with wasted time, wasted money, and zero accountability from Verizon. This isn’t just bad service — it’s misleading sales practices and complete failure to honor what was sold.
