I came in today to get a new keyboard. I had to wait for an hour because the Mac technician was on break. When I come into the appointment I have to wait another 30 minutes! Why? I speak to the manager to ask why I’m waiting. I become aware that the white male red head technician only working with white people and selecting them in front of me. I also noticed a black technician only working with blacks. Really? I never want to come back to such a disgusting unwelcoming environment.

Frustrating experience every time. Employees are never available (have to wait ~20mins for help). New items rarely in stock.

Got the new phone, but our person just left, didn’t tell us, and we messed up the setup and it all spiraled downhill while people kept trying to get us to buy a case, and the alarms were going off like every second

They're doing it wrong at this location. And it's questionable to begin with, right? ..that Apple store model of ignoring you until they're good and ready to help you, that is. C'mon, even Apple employees know exactly what I'm talking about. Otherwise, they wouldn't have such amazing eye-contact-avoidance kung fu. I've seen the model work at other Apple stores, and I understand what they're trying to do. After all, I'm a loyal Apple customer who has been using Apple products since before some of these "geniuses" were born. Anyway, I think that the manager at this particular store is either a questionably light touch, or just straight up incapable of running the store. They should know that the greeting & registration touchpoint is their single point of failure. Miss that point, and you WILL piss off even your loyal customers. Like me, today. I had a genius bar appointment to hand off a defective new laptop. I arrived 10 mins early. No one greeted me. No one talked to me AT ALL until I sought them out myself after 20 minutes of sitting there like a dummy waiting with all the other dummies at the genius bar TEN MINUTES AFTER MY APPOINTMENT TIME. At that point, when I saw that the QR code on my support ticket had gone grey and was then unusable, I figured I better speak up. Why was my QR code grey? I think it was grey because, not having been engaged by staff by that time, Apple had assumed that I had just not shown up. Was this customer error? Bish please. Several of the other customers at the bar, like me, had not spoken to or been acknowledged by anyone. Meanwhile, even though it was "busy" by Google maps standards, visually it was pretty much 1:1 staff:customers in there. In short, there was simply no reason to have left so many earnest customers swinging in the breeze like that. But they did. So I left. And thereafter I discovered that for an issue like mine, we can call Apple support and request a mail-in repair. So that's what I've done.
