Response:
They always comment back saying to reach out to their hospital manager. However back in 2022 when I had yet another awful experience with this place I tried to reach out to your hospital manager and heard nothing back in return. I even wanted to have a meeting with the people who were at fault and also heard nothing back. So probably shouldn’t tell people to reach out to your hospital manager when in reality you never want to listen or take accountability for anything.
Don’t trust this vet clinic.
Original review:
I would never recommend Dr.Surroz. Her bedside manner is the worst I’ve ever seen. She makes rude comments, you can visually see her making faces and rolling her eyes at things you say. She also acts like she is terrified of dogs and does not even attempt to make your dog feel more comfortable.

UPDATED AFTER VCA RESPONSE 07/09
Response:
In the response from VCA they said my dog was showing signs of anxiety. I saw you had cameras everywhere, so I suggest you look at them to see what really happened. My dog showed 0 signs of anxiety, until the vet acted way too restrictive, causing her to become anxious. My dog was so happy to be at the vet… until Surroz decided to restrain her far beyond what was needed. My dog would have let her do the exam no problem if she was not startled/scared/anxious form her instructing the assistant to shove food in her face while holding her restrained. No wonder she showed signs of anxiety. Btw, before Surroz showed up she did not show any signs of anxiety, letting the assistant stick a thermometer in her ear with NO SIGNS OF ANXIETY. It wasn’t until Surroz was involved that there were issues. But go ahead and blame my dog when it was really your employee that caused this. Again, I see you have cameras everywhere, please look at them.

STAY AWAY! I would NOT!!! come here. It is dirty, reeks of pee, and the vet Surroz is the biggest reason to not come. My one year puppy came in for her checkup and the vet greatly mishandled our appointment. My dog is a social butterfly, made friends with the lady at the front desk to the point she was calling my dog her new best friend. At the start of the appointment the vet assistant was good checking her in and getting to know her. When it was the time for Surroz to give her shots she came in, acting like she was in a huge rush, told the assistant try to grab and restrain my dog. Not sure why she didn’t try to introduce herself and get my dog accustomed to her (you would hope she learned this in vet school). She kept instructing the assistant to grab and restrain her more which led to my dog getting upset and her refusing to serve us. If she had the patience to introduce herself to our dog before she tried to grab her the instant she came into the room, everything would have been fine. Throughout this, she was making rude remarks to us trying to say our dog was the problem. Past visits have not had issues like this but she has always been impatient and rude. Until there is a new vet, or the vet learns to be friendly to animals like the woman at the front desk, STAY AWAY!!
BEWARE!! Do NOT take your animals here. I transfered my vet care to them maybe 8 months ago only because my old vet was hard to get into but I loved them. I told the vet multiple times at VCA that I thought something was wrong with my dog because his abdomen was getting bigger and it felt hard. They kept telling me he was fine and healthy. I finally got into my old vet on Wednesday. Immediately they confirmed that I was right and he went in for emergency surgery and he didn't make it. Im pretty sure he had cancer and that nothing could have saved him in the long run. But I 100% blame VCA for my not being able to be with my sweet beautiful boy when he passed because it should have been diagnosed sooner. Unforgivable!
2/4/24 update: I just read VCA's response. They wanted to do blood work for something else NOT because of the abdomen. After all, it felt normal and he was healthy according to them. I even questioned what they said, stating but it's so hard. They said it was normal. I wanted xray, they said it was normal. An xray would have determined that his abdomen was NOT normal. He was also seen in November for something else but I brought up his abdomen again. Again, they stated it was normal.
I used to go here and they used to have great service. I recently called to get an estimate to euthanize my cat. She has lived beyond her years and needs to be put down. I asked how much the exam would be and to euthanize her. The receptionist said she did not know until they saw her. I told her how much my cat weighed and needed to know the estimate to make sure I had enough money to bring her in. She once again said she couldn’t tell me until they saw my cat. I told her I’ve gone there for years and have never had any problems. I told the receptionist I just wanted to make sure I have enough money to receive the service and needed to know an estimate. I’ve had other pets euthanized about ten years ago and in the past they have always given me an estimate for their services. She just told me the exam fee would be $62 and that is all she could tell me. She then gave me the number to the emergency hospital. She said, “I don’t know what else to tell you.” I told her she could tell me the price of services. I informed her that the emergency hospitals charge twice as much and I cannot afford to go there, and that I just needed to put her down because I know my cat is dying and I don’t want her in pain. I told the receptionist I will never be going there again because she was rude and couldn’t even provide prices. I called the emergency hospital and they were really compassionate. I knew their prices would be doubled because it is emergency care. Just for an exam is $120 but I’d rather go to a place who can provide prices and have common sense than ever go to (Vitality Pet Clinic again) now known as VCA Vitality Animal Hospital. The lady was rude and not compassionate there. It was the one off Commercial in South Salem. I have never been treated in such a disrespectful way, especially in a time of mourning. Please get some training on communication and learn to have compassion. I would never recommend this place to anyone. It has gone down hill dramatically! I’ve been bringing my pets here for over 20 years but never again. This business isn’t even worth one star!
