Don’t let the "good" reviews fool you—they’re a total fabrication. This place is a punchline without a joke.
I brought in my ROG Ally X for some basic troubleshooting, only to be met by a staff member who was as rude as she was clueless. First, she tried to gaslight me about my appointment time, claiming it was for the following week when it was clearly scheduled for that day. After a "rigorous" 10-second inspection (which I assume involved her just making sure it wasn't a brick), she told me they couldn't even send it out for repair.
It’s clear their "technical expertise" begins and ends with slapping shipping stickers on boxes. They don't actually fix anything; they just play hot potato with your hardware.
The audacity didn’t stop there. She actually had the nerve to ask if I wanted to keep my appointment for the following Monday for my laptop. I foolishly went back, only to witness a repeat performance. This time, her expert diagnosis for my laptop's issues? Dust. Dust? Are you serious? When that didn't stick, she pivoted to a blatant lie, claiming the system was "frozen" and the BIOS was inaccessible. I called her out on the spot because I can access the BIOS just fine. Her face turned redder than an overheating CPU once she realized she’d been caught lying to my face.
This is the second time in a week they’ve turned away my business for no reason other than pure laziness and a lack of skill. I thought this was a repair shop, but it’s actually just a circus. So, what’s the punchline? That I’m supposed to waste my valuable time on your incompetence?

I had made a purchase with Best buy and was having a problem with the item. I contacted the manufacturer and they were a NIGHTMARE to deal with. I finally just broke down and went in and spoke with Sierra from the geek squad and she was absolutely incredible. She made me a best buy buyer and I will stick with geek squad. I never had an encounter with them and minimal purchases with best buy but she alone was so incredible, im sold on the best buy experience. Sierra, thank you so much again! She completely resolved my problem, I had been so disappointed but now I feel like such a huge wait off my shoulders because of the support she provided.

Bought an HP laptop to replace my windows 7 used laptop. Had them transfer my data from the old to the new. They forgot to transfer my email contacts. Fast forward, I bought the one year service plan. That said, I knew I had a problem with my work laptop. Made the appointment (I understand that many don't like waiting, but that is just because there are so limited PC service centers in Salem). My work laptop was diagnosed with a bad RAM. They replaced it and it cost me $39.99 for the card. While there, they transferred the contacts from the work laptop to my new laptop. Having now been at the Geek Squad more than a couple of times, the staff and service is excellent. Constantly updating on progress by email and text. Face facts, you need an appointment to see a doctor........they are computer (and other tech/appliance) doctors. I highly recommend this service center.
