Such a disappointing experience every time I have to go to this location. I feel that the staff makes things very difficult and when I go directly to the verizon chat, they are always apologetic and take care of my problem. It is not that difficult to show hospitality. It is not that difficult to be kind. Verizon is great in every other way except this retail location. Sad.
Reading the other recent reviews, there seems to be a culture problem that needs to be addressed. An apathetic team leads to really poor customer experience.

What a joke what is the point of checking in on your kiosk if you're just going to ignore customers???
They just helped people walking in as i waited like an idiot

Absolutely unacceptable experience. I came in for a simple phone drop-off and was ignored when I walked in, which immediately made the situation awkward and uncomfortable. What should have taken minutes turned into a complete mess. They also tried to offer $200 for a trade-in valued at $1,100, with no clear explanation or accountability. This has never been an issue at the Eugene Verizon store. The staff was standing around, unhelpful, and wasted my time.
One woman working there was very kind and helpful—this review does not reflect her. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was bad enough that I would literally drive an hour out of my way just to avoid returning to this location.

Zero stars.
Walked into the store with one customer and one employee. Checked in and waited about five minutes before an employee finally came out from the back. I clearly stated I wanted to purchase a phone outright with cash and did not want to change my plan, extend a contract, add a line, or put anything on my bill.
Despite that, the employee took my account info, disappeared for 10 to 15 minutes, and came back with a sheet of “deals” that all involved plan changes or add-ons. It was clear he either did not listen or chose to ignore what I said. I was very clear. I just wanted to buy a phone. I hand you the money, you hand me the phone, and we go our separate ways.
While all of this was happening, my wife was stuck entertaining our 5-year-old, whom we brought because we reasonably thought this would be quick. Instead, I left with no phone, a grumpy kid, a frustrated wife, and a lot of wasted time.
Then I was told the phone I wanted was “in the safe” and it would take another 15 minutes to retrieve! I have no idea what kind of "safe" takes that long to open, but by that point the entire experience felt disorganized and inefficient.
We also watched multiple people check in, wait, and then walk out. The original customers who were there when we arrived were still there when we left. That says a lot.
I understand the owner reads these reviews, so here’s some direct feedback: basic sales skills need to be part of the training. Listening matters. Speed matters. Good salespeople close the sale efficiently. I work in sales myself, and this should have been one of the easiest transactions of the day.
I walked in ready to spend roughly $1500 in cash and walked out empty-handed. Completely unnecessary and avoidable.
