  Due to my own stupidity, I allowed my 16 yr old amstaff terrier to take a dip in the Columbia river. A small wave flipped her and she drowned, immediately becoming unconscious. After revival I telephoned my current DVM could not fit her in. VCA SE Portland accommodated her immediately upon arrival. DVM Currah and staff were fast and efficient and are the reason my pup is still alive and recovering at home today. Thank you for being so fast and effective and accepting a new patient under duress.

  VCA Southeast has become our primary veterinarian for some years now. Our cats have always gotten exemplary treatment there. On our recent visits we were seen by Dr. Gosney who is an excellent clinician as well as being personable and empathic. I would not hesitate to recommend VCA Southeast for routine or emergency care for your animal companions! Five stars!

  As the year Anniversary of my dog passing comes up it’s not a day that doesn’t go by that I don’t think about the way I was treated by the vet here in one of the hardest moments of my life. I pray he doesn’t treat anyone else with the indecency that I received. I was ignored twice by my concerns and sent home with my dog dying, by the time I brought him back (against their suggestions over the phone) it was too late. He came in the room and WITH A CHUCKLE said “looks like you were right all along” but it was too late, my dog was bleeding internally so badly I couldn’t even hold him in his last moments because they couldn’t find a vein they were so shot. I hope this vet’s condescension helps him sleep at night because I’ll have to live with this being the last memories of my best friend of 15 years.

  After a horrible experience at a different vet clinic we came here and began a relationship with Dr. Gosney who has been incredible with both our dogs. Dr. Gosney displayed great determination to understand what was going on with our sweet Gizmo- who she diagnosed with Panniculitis, heart and kidney failure. She was amazing throughout his treatment and when it came time to say goodbye she was there with our family till the end. We are so relieved to have found a vet as caring as she is to continue to care for Maka and any future pets we are lucky to have in our family. Thanks so much!!! BA, Robert, Brody & Maka
