    Purchased my hp laptop $1169 and the Total Membership for $179 in April 2025. Everything has been working great until the last windows update. Laptop boots up but the screen is black. Scheduled an appointment with the Geek Squad and went there to have them service it. Dropped off 11/20/2025. Upon pick up 12/6/2025 the tech said everything was fixed, there were no viruses and i was good to go. Got it home and realized they never gave me back my power cord. Mind you I live over 2 hours away from this place. So I called the Geek Squad back and told them what happened. The support person took down the information and said they will call back. They never did. I ordered a new power supply from HP instead. We used the laptop a couple times but it hasn’t worked right ever since the Geek Squad “worked on it”. The display has stopped working again. Why is it so hard to get quality service these days. Purchase your electronics through BB but don’t waste your money on their services. Find a reputable IT/repair company. Update: the day after dropping my laptop off at the Geek Squad counter my husband received a call from them stating they had to send the laptop back to HP and it could take up to 2 weeks. We got a got about a week later saying it was ready for pickup. Upon this latest issue with our laptop we decided to contact HP directly. They have no record of Best Buy Geek Squad sending the laptop in. Spent over 3 hours on the phone with HP. The HP tech did everything he could to get us up and going but in the end we had to send the laptop in to HP for further analysis. What did the Geek Squad do with our laptop for week if they never did what they said they were going to do. Red flag folks.

    I was told that it would take 2-3 hours to fix the broken camera lense on my phone and to make an appointment. I made the appointment for a certain time and that was when I arrived. Then when they called me up they said it would be 6 hours , which was not told to me when I walked in there the day before. The guy at the front argued with me and said it’s first come first serve, which makes no sense and is ridiculous. What’s the point of making an appointment if it’s first come first serve????

    I wish I had read the reviews before I bought into their geek squad program $180-ish and had paid $85 to be told that they couldn’t find the parts to repair my HP. Highly do not recommend and highly disappointed.
