Giving them a 1 star because of overcharging. This facility will overcharge for unnecessary labs or exams. I did not approve a skin lab and the vet lied saying it was discussed when the pet was dropped off but that was not the case. The vet care is as expected but I don’t appreciate their billing practices and lying about consent.

I am writing this primarily as a cautionary note to any pet parents thinking of bringing their furry family member here. I think this place is probably fine for routine vaccines and the like, but for anything else, it feels to me like the priority was charging for repeated tests than actually solving the root cause. My pup was experiencing symptoms of a UTI, and when we went in for a full exam, they gave her an exam and then suggested a urinalysis. Fine. Then prescribed some meds. Then wanted another urinalysis. Then prescribed some meds. Then another urinalysis. Then a urine culture. Then prescribed some meds. Then another urinalysis. Then another culture. I recall jokingly asking if there was a punch card for these tests and maybe I'd get the 5th one free (there's not). Finally it was recommended that she do some imaging to see what's going on. At that point I had decided to go to another vet and get a second opinion. Before recommending anything, the new vet (NOT VCA) performed a basic hands-on exam and noted that it physically felt like bladder stones. They did some imaging tests to confirm (at a fraction of the price, I should add) and discovered that there was a massive amount of stones, some almost golf ball sized. She recently had the surgery to remove them and we expect a full recovery soon. Moral of the story, if a competent vet had done a proper exam from the beginning, this could have been solved months ago and my dog would have felt relief much sooner. But that may not have made them quite as much money. Don't be afraid to get a second opinion, folks.

Quick and easy appointment. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff, and very reasonably priced for an exam.

I had an issue with my dog that caused concern for her having some sort of blockage. I spoke to 2 people before I got Dr. Michele and explained the issue and specifically explained I wanted to get a scan for a possible blockage. Spoke to the doctor, dropped coco off, and left. When I received the call from the doctor and she explained what she did (was not a scan of her stomach area, just her head shoulder and throat). I got a little frustrated because it wasn’t what I wanted and I was clearly concerned. She inevitable hung up and stated I cussed her out, which I did not. I had to speak to a manager about this who said they’d ’work with me’ have not heard back from them (been roughly 2 weeks and the issue is since over.). The manager did do a good job of giving me time to speak to her about what I issue was. It was clearly a miscommunication with me as a customer who did not fully know what the plan was. I expressed what I wanted to accomplish as best I could and there was no question about anything else I wanted. I’ve gone to VCA numerous times, this one particularly because my dog does decently well there. They’ve offered blood tests, nail trims, fecal tests, etc… but did not offer an additional scan to address my concern of a blockage. I got hung up on by Dr. Michele. Everybody else there is always nice and provides great customer service.

My dog passed away today and we brought her in to start the process of getting her cremated. The staff offered their condolences and treated me with dignity and respect. They gave me plenty of options in regards to the cremation, selection of urns and other services. They provided tissues, bottled water and even let me leave through the side door after everything was said and done. Price for all services was not terrible, honestly would've paid anything to have the service done anyway so doesn't matter much.
