I had the best experience at the Best Buy today. Abu was a fabulous manager. He helped me for at least three hours. I bought a brand new phone upgraded everything. He gave me. Fabulous prices. He is the best. I’m at the Eglinton center. The manager‘s name is Abu I recommend him to even go further in this company as she is very special. He was fabulous. Thank you.

I had a great experience at Best Buy. Abu helped me a lot with choosing my iPad and explained everything clearly. He was very patient and made the process easy. I really appreciate the great customer service. Thank you, Abu!

So get this. You walk into this place and there is 1 person working. There is a line up of people patiently waiting to catch out. ANYWHERE half way decent at Customer Service would be taking care of those customers looking to purchase something right? Well at this Best Buy that’s not gonna happen, instead the worker is going to stare at you waiting in that line openly ignoring you while she talks to someone who isn’t buying anything but speaks her same language so I guess he gets special treatment? Then once the conversation is over and her conversation friend leaves without buying anything only THEN will this employee help cash. Then if you need help well they definitely aren’t going to come help you unless they kind of feel like it? Which seems to coincidentally be the people who speak the same language as them. Watched 3 black folk in line waiting patiently and no one checked on me until all the chatting was over. You don’t feel like being ignored, don’t bother with this spot

I came here today to ask for help with an issue I’ve been having with my phone/headphones. The employee who was a woman immediately had an attitude with me for NO REASON. She was acting like I was bothering her. I’m trying to explain to her what I’m looking for. Then proceeded to talk to me with sarcasm and acting like I’m stupid. Mind you, the entire time I still was being nice. Why? Because I would never treat someone like that ever! Truly disappointing. It took a lot for me not to return the same energy or say anything rude back. Just an overall weird and disrespectful interaction. I went to another store to see if they could help and they did without any issues. Best Buy please do better. I’m not sure what is this employee’s issue but it’s not normal to talk to and treat someone like that.

I visited this store to pick up a prepaid order and will never visit again because of the poor customer service. When I got to the counter, another customer was being helped, so I stood nearby. The employee asked if I had a question. I said that I was picking up an order, and she replied abruptly that she was with a customer. I was only answering her question and clearly waiting. Now for ID verification. I provided a valid driver’s licence and health card, as requested IDs. I was then told that the health card was NOT an acceptable form of ID and that a credit card was required. This didn’t make sense. When I asked for clarification, I was told it was store policy and asked why I was “arguing.” I was really trying to understand this policy. I acknowledged that she was following store policy and provided the credit card so that I could complete my pick up. The interaction remained dismissive. At the end, my ID was put on the counter as though it was garbage, rather than handed back to me. And a loud, sarcastic “thank you” was called across the store as I was walking out. This was one of the worst customer service experiences that I’ve had in Toronto. I’ve picked up items at other Best Buy locations without any issues. Professionalism and respectful communication should be the bare minimum when dealing with customers. Management should clarify ID policies to both staff and customers to avoid unnecessary confusion. Most importantly, front-line employees should receive proper customer service training. Even though this location is convenient, I will not be returning.
