    having a service rep swing their hips and sing right in front of me after telling me to tap, while she’s entirely forgotten to activate the POS for my payment…. is weird customer service to say the least. to be clear, she was polite and helped me find what i’m looking for, and once she realized her mistake she immediately sent the payment from her computer to the POS and i was able to tap very quickly after so it’s nothing against her as an individual, but honestly this was the straw that broke the camel’s back for me. i miss professionalism and customer service. i miss the standards that workplaces used to strictly enforce back when i worked customer service roles about a decade ago. im tired of going to stores and feeling like im interrupting their paid dance sessions. like please: when a customer walks in, be professional. offer at least the bare minimum professionalism. like this is not a mom and pop shop, i walked into a Best Buy. growing up BB used to feel like a serious shop but more and more i feel like im walking into a corner store that just happens to have pricey electronics. a Best Buy store (in my honest opinion) should have a bare minimum level of customer service offered which shouldn’t include singing and dancing?? i just can’t imagine the talking to i would have gotten from management if i was literally dancing and singing in a customers face at a POS. and i’m not that old, these standards existed in entry level customer service roles just 5-10 years ago. no shade but it’s kinda just enough. at least wait until i leave the POS to start dancing and singing. the whole hiring/training process needs updating.

    I had a great experience at Best Buy today thanks to Yohanes. He helped me switch to an excellent phone plan that perfectly fit my needs, and because of his support. He was knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely helpful throughout the entire process. Highly recommend asking for Yohanes if you visit this location.

    I was having difficulty with my phone charger so I was looking for a new one. Yohanes immediately tried to sell me on changing my phone plan to bell and as I was considering his offer, I asked if he could charge my phone, he said the store only charges the phones, I went to charge my phone using one of the the chargers and he aggressively unplugged it. Work on your salest/people skills Yohanes!
