I was just at the Leaside store and I just wanted to say thank you for hiring a young man named Moshin. He is so smart, so sweet and made my experience a joy. Seriously. And the problem i had with kitten-chewed cables is over. Thank yiu, Moshin!

Don't be fooled by the logo. Best Buy is currently running a non-reciprocal retail loop that exploits the "Best Buy Express" partnership to strip customers of their basic consumer rights. I purchased a Lucky Mobile contract at a Best Buy Express location. The service was non-functional upon activation (zero data/minutes available). When I brought this failed product to this flagship location (65 Dundas St W) for a remedy, they refused to help, claiming that Best Buy and Best Buy Express are "separate companies." Here is why this is a deceptive trade practice: The "Same Brand" Trap: They use the same logos, signage, and marketing, but when a product fails, they suddenly become strangers. Under Ontario’s General Impression Test, this is a material omission of how their business actually functions. CRTC Violations: By refusing to process a return for a non-functional mobile service, they are actively obstructing the CRTC-mandated 15-day trial period (30 days for persons with disabilities). Bait-and-Switch: They sell you a contract under the "Best Buy" name to gain your trust, but then hide behind a "partnership technicality" to avoid the legal accountability of a return. The Verdict: Best Buy wants the "Unified Brand" profit without the "Unified Brand" responsibility. If you buy from an Express location, you are entering a no-man’s-land of consumer protection. If you are on ODSP or are a vulnerable consumer, stay away. They will take your money under one sign and refuse your return under another. #ConsumerProtection #BestBuyExpress #CRTCViolation #DeceptiveMarketing Update:The Best Buy Social Media Team replied below asking me to "contact them." I followed their link. It led to a closed bot loop with no human escalation. This proves my point: the "Care" is a marketing layer, but the "Mechanics" are designed to prevent resolution. They aren't trying to help; they are trying to manage their public image while maintaining the Architecture of Silence.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I am an older person and quite shy when it comes to technology, and I often feel overwhelmed in stores like this. Steven, who helped me in the store, was absolutely wonderful. He showed extraordinary patience, kindness, and genuine care, and never once made me feel rushed or uncomfortable. He took the time to explain things clearly and with such a calm, reassuring manner. What stood out most was his kind heart—something you don’t encounter often. Steven truly made my day, and I will always remember how thoughtfully he treated me. Thank you so much Steven! You are a gentleman! Your parents must be so proud! Wishing you many happy returns going forward! Nowadays it’s not often that one runs to such an encounter for a young man! You deserve a raise and an award!! Thank you so much! 🤗🤗🤗🤗

I was at the Laird Best Buy location on August 19th, 2026 with my 92 year old aunt. She needed a new stove and a new CPU. She is still very independent, and very much wanted to be a part of this shopping experience. She asked me to come because, as a senior, she has been underestimated before and wanted to make sure she got helpful, honest advice from customer service employees that she knew she could trust - and that is exactly what she got at Best Buy. I want to thank Ash in appliances for her amazing customer service and her patience with a 92 woman who wanted to tell her a millions stories while she made her purchase. Ash helped my aunt find exactly the stove she needed while patiently and enthusiastically listening to her stories. I also need to thank Sinan in computers for setting my aunt's mind at ease about her computer purchase. She wanted a CPU that would last, but also wanted to make sure she did not get upsold and end up with more computer than she needed (to watch YouTube, check her email and bookmark great recipes). Sinan alleviated all of her worries and helped her to feel confident in her choice (while also making sure she got a great deal). These two employees made my aunt's day, and turned what could have been a stressful experience for an aged woman into a joyful experience where she felt seen and valued. Wonderful customer service. Thank you again Ash and Sinan!

Looking for iPhone cover and checked out Leaside Best Buy not expecting much but fortunately the sales rep, Menelik, was great. Not pushy and just offered great knowledge / insight and I was in and out with a new case / cover in 10 mins.
