Came to buy laptop and trade in. But customer service person was not interested in helping us out plus demotivated us. That is why people are interested in online shopping i guess. We had many questions but didn’t ask as guy didn’t even answered properly to our basic question. I hope this review make some difference

I am leaving this review regarding my visit to the 1735 Richmond Street location at approximately 3:00 p.m. this afternoon, December 31, 2025. Upon entering the store, I immediately noticed an employee stationed at the entrance—presumably to greet customers and set the tone for the experience. This employee had short dark hair, glasses, and tattoos on both arms. Despite being in a clear greeting position, there was no acknowledgment or welcome whatsoever. I could handle that…but.. Noticing that the mobile lineup was unusually long (roughly 12 people), I politely asked this employee if he could do me a favour and check with a mobile representative to see whether the iPhone 16 in pink was available, as it was intended for my daughter. His response was shockingly dismissive. He snickered and said, “Google’s a great place to start.” When I explained that I was asking for *his* help, he awkwardly laughed, pulled out his phone, and behaved as though I were a major inconvenience. The entire interaction was uncomfortable, unprofessional, and frankly embarrassing for your brand. This seems to be the unfortunate reality now—customer service replaced by an expectation that customers simply help themselves in a store full of employees. What made the situation even worse was witnessing this same employee interact with an elderly gentleman standing behind me. The gentleman asked a reasonable question about potential discounts, as he felt he was paying a lot for his plan. Instead of responding professionally or empathetically, the employee replied—almost verbatim—“Yeah, well, I don’t know man, we all just want prices to go down. You’ll just have to stand in the line.” This response was incredibly disrespectful, and it genuinely angered me to hear someone speak that way to an elderly customer. To be clear, my frustration goes beyond these double interactions. My contract for all 8 of my business phones is up for renewal on January 2nd, and I fully intended to sit down with a mobile representative to discuss my options. However, this experience was such a turnoff that I chose to leave the store entirely and take my business elsewhere. Respect, professionalism, and basic courtesy should be the bare minimum—especially when customers are prepared to commit significant business. Unfortunately, this location failed on all counts. I will NOT be returning.

I don't like having expensive things shipped to my house and was told I could order online and get it shipped to the store. This was ALMOST a complete lie. While I could order and have SOME things online shipped to the store the amount of options are dismal at best. I wanted a new gaming PC and saw many really good options and ALMOST all of them were online only and could NOT be shipped to the store. Either tell people there are only a couple that can be picked up or don't tell people you can get it picked up at all. I will be going elsewhere to get a new gaming PC because I can't trust a company that misleads people.

online nventory is wrong usually so i hope you were not travelling 1 hour for that last kitchen-aid or laptop because its likely sold or a display unit and ontop of that now they wont even answer calls at stores anymore, they are directing all calls to call centre. i find this to be a complete lack of respect for paying customers. too big for their own good and have lost the plot. few months back tried to get a midnight release on an item and that turned out to be a wasteof time and frusterating experience on a work night that left me empty handed. another time was looking for a specific kitchen aid mixer.. when i got to the store after a long drive turns out that 1 they said they had they didnt. will never shop bestbuy again! they dont give a dam from the top to the bottom. i would rather spend 2 hours trying to get a real person on rogers helpline then give my hard earned money to bestbuy after my 3 experiences this year with them

I was at the store in richmond street. Just beside loblaws at around 11 ish am. I went there to trade my samsung s23 ultra and me and my friend had to buy webcam and ssd. There was a lady in the customer service who was responsible for my phone trade-in. She checked the phone and told me that i would get $321 dollars for my phone since it had minor scratches according to her. I didn't think the price was fair and told her that i will be looking at another store for better price. When I told her that " I am not going to trade the phone and I will check for better price in another store", she slided my phone in a bad way and told me " thanks for wasting my time". I did complain to the guy who was in front of the main door and asked for manager but he was busy at that time. He did promise me to let the manager know about the issue. Additionally, i went to another store and they paid 595 for the phone. Its crazy to even think that incompetent people who dont know anything about the condition of the phone are placed in such department. I dont recommend anyone to trade their phone in this particular store and i would like to request higher management to properly train employee and a few manners.
