  On March 28, 2026, my wife and I visited Best Buy at Lime Ridge Mall to buy a phone car holder. A sales person named Gurleen approached us and started talking about an internet offer from Bell for 1.5 GB for $50. We told him we already had 1 GB internet with Virgin Plus for $40/month and were not interested. However, he insisted and told us that our current provider would stop service and that Bell was better. He checked our address and confirmed that 1.5 GB service was available at both our home and my parents’ home. We clearly mentioned multiple times that we currently have 1 GB internet and wanted similar or better speed. He also told us the price would be a lifetime credit, but later customer service said it is only for 24 months. On March 31, installation at my parents’ house was completed with 1.5 GB speed. However, on April 1, when installation was done at our home, the speed was only 150 MB. When I called customer service, they said I only purchased 150 MB. This was never clearly explained to us. Because of this, I cancelled my previous 1 GB internet with Virgin Plus, and now I am stuck with a much lower speed. When I returned to the store, the sales person said my wife told him we only needed 100 MB, which is not true. We clearly said 1 GB (1000 MB) multiple times. This situation caused a lot of stress, wasted time (over 2 hours with customer service), and inconvenience, especially since we sometimes work from home. I feel misled and very disappointed with this experience. It is not acceptable for a sales person to give wrong or misleading information just to achieve weekly or monthly targets. This kind of behavior is not professional and feels like a dishonest sales practice. Please investigate this matter and take appropriate action.

  I had really good experience there. ‘Mike’ assisted me very well. He had been patient all along (while some glitches coming up). Along with that, had a good conversation with another sales person ‘Gurleen’. Highly recommended!!
