    Set up an appt online to look at my laptop's battery. I show up with my laptop and explain the situation that I already put down in the appt details. He then says "yeah gonna need to replace the battery". I say "well can you look at it". With some hesitation he looks at it and opens task manager. And then says "yeah could spend $280 for us to uninstall and reinstall drivers". So either replace the battery or spend $280 to do a basic item. All this while directly next to me is a $100 diagnostic fee, which I would've paid. Horrible customer service. What's the point in setting up an appt for a guy just to beg for money for 0 work

    PLEASE, PLEASE!! READ ALL OF THIS!! I have never given one star. If I could I would give NO STARS!! Have been a member of the Best Buy geek squad for a few years. Right in the middle of my membership they changed ALL of their policies. Started charging a fee for coming to your home to help you, with anything. Over a $100. Everything you bought from Best Buy was supposedly guaranteed for 2 years, you brought it back, they replaced it. Now they send it off to Kentucky to be evaluated. So TV, computer, printer, etc. You are without for 2 to 6 weeks. If you bought your computer from Best Buy, it was covered under Webroot. They watched it, to monitor for viruses and hackers. Guess what? All my information, my social, DOB, address, phone number, I mean EVERYTHING was leaked to the dark web! Now all my accounts are frozen. I didn't have my phone covered by Best Buy, so I NEVER, EVER gave any info out on my phone. Always went to my computer, believing I was safe, NOT!! I obviously did not renew my subscription this year. Atrempted to speak to a manager at Best Buy before I made this post. That was an impossibility. Tried several times, and several bogus numbers given to me, by the staff at Best Buy. Had every intention to discuss this with them; however, they made that decision not to!! So I'm posting this! Make your own decision, buyer BEWARE is all I can say!!

    My laptop completely shut down a month ago. I brought it in, they took it in. A couple days went by and I got a call saying they wouldn’t work on it until they fixed some outer hardware issues. These were issues I knew about, but were not the reason I came in, and they didn’t affect the computer at all. But I obliged and said that’s fine, if that’s what it takes, fix it. So I wait, and wait, and wait... Until an entire month goes by, Ive had little to no updates, and I’m getting impatient. After a month, they call, say I should have it the next day... The next day, I found out: they hadn’t even looked into the REASON I brought it in until THE DAY BEFORE I WAS PICKING IT UP. One month after I dropped it off and they had done nothing but fix things that were NOT problems and didn’t even LOOK at the issue I brought it in for. And here’s the real kicker: they say it’ll be an extra $600-$700 to fix that and it’s not worth it and it’d be better to just buy a new one. So not only was an entire month of my time wasted, it was wasted and my computer was NOT EVEN FIXED. The only good part was that they were decent enough to not charge me for the work they did considering it didn’t even get fixed- rightfully so. I would NOT EVER recommend bringing your appliances here unless you want a waste of your time.
