The VCA emergency vet hospital saved my cat’s life during a severe UTI, and I’m beyond grateful. The entire staff was caring, patient, and truly kind during a very stressful time. They treated my cat with compassion and made sure I understood everything that was happening.
I do wish the veterinary industry wasn’t being taken over by large corporate owners like Mars candy/Wall Street private equity. Prices everywhere keep rising, and I’d love to see more of that money go directly to the amazing staff who do the real hands-on work. The team here deserves every bit of support.
That said, this VCA location was outstanding, and I’m thankful they were there when my cat needed them most. Highly recommend.

We arrived in the evening of November 7th. My husband and I came home and found our dog Polly in distress. My vet told me to take her to VCA Great Lakes. When we arrived she was unable to walk so two employees helped to put her onto a gurney. They rushed her in the back and started tending to her. They were desperately trying to determine what was wrong with her but she unfortunately passed away. While I am saddened by the passing of my sweet Polly I would recommend VCA Great Lakes if your dog is in need of emergency treatment. The staff was very competent and compassionate.

I am so thankful for this emergency vet. Every staff member is kind, compassionate, extremely educated, and takes you seriously. There was a significant wait time on a Saturday, but I’ve been here on weeknights and the wait is under 90mins. Dr. Martin served as my second opinion that my 8yr old cat did IN FACT have bladder issues when our primary vet dismissed her as behavioral. I feel heard, seen, and most importantly that my cat’s health was paramount! We have a treatment plan for my baby and I no longer feel like a crazy cat lady. My only complaint is that they can’t be my primary veterinarians 🥰

My experience with VCA was so compassionate. From the moment I walk through the doors to the moment, I placed my beloved dog on his forever resting spot. VCA was understanding and so caring to our baby. I want to recognize what an angel Brooke is. Brooke lives close to me and offered to bring our baby home which was the kindest gift someone could’ve offered In this painful time. There are angels in good people and I believe VCA has them. Thank you for the wonderful care Bentley in his final moments.

We recently moved to Cleveland and haven't found a new vet for our dogs yet. One night at 12 am, our dog stepped on glass while outside on a walk. This vet was 30 minutes away but in our hurried research, only a few places were open at the time and it seemed like this place had the best reviews and I am SO grateful we brought him here!!
They treated our dog with compassion and were so professional. Our dog had to get sedated and needed 4 stitches and has to wear a cone for 3 weeks. A few days after, he ended up unfortunately pulling out one of his stitches and we had to take him BACK to VCA at 9 pm and were prepared to pay for another emergency visit/ whatever else, but they looked at his paw and saw the other stitches looked fine and there was no need for the other one to be put back in and didn't even charge us for the visit! We were in and out super quick.
We'll be going back again in a few weeks to get the stitches out, which will also be a free visit. Very grateful for this place, because we were anticipating having to pay a lot more for this unfortunate accident and it's taken a huge stressor off of this entire situation.
Will definitely continue taking my pets here!
