No service - wouldn't honor new patient - free physical exam. I a new cat, kitten, less than a year old, never seen a vet or ever been to VCA in College HIll. I was told that it's only for adopted animal and new patients.. I figured the cat was a new patient since she hadn't been seen there, but the ad didn't say it was for adopted animals. Good thing there are plenty of vets and also more pleasant front office staff.

The front staff is unprofessional and poorly trained. They have no sense of boundaries and behave like they’re talking from their living room, not a medical office. The moment you ask a simple question especially about price they instantly turn rude. This clinic clearly has a serious management problem. I absolutely cannot recommend this place.

I have never dealt with a veterinary clinic as unprofessional and disrespectful as VCA College Hill. In my opinion, this place cares far more about squeezing money out of clients than actually providing honest, decent service. My dog had a full exam less than six months ago, yet every single time I come in for a routine vaccine, they force another $90 exam fee. There is absolutely no reason for this except profit. The phone call I had with this clinic was honestly shocking. Jessica ( receptionist) talked over me, and acted like my questions were a problem for her. She told it is US law and “adviced” me to go another clinic. She misrepresented policy of this clinic as law of US ! Then she passed me to a supervisor who was even worse. The supervisor kept interrupting me, raising her voice, refusing to listen, blaming me in argue while i even had possibility to tell something and—most unbelievable—insisting that their extra exam fee is “U.S. law again . That statement is simply not true, and the fact that a supervisor would say that is extremely concerning! Yes , licensed veterinarian must supervise the rabies vaccination. There is no legal requirement for:a $90 exam, a full physical exam at the time of the shot. Supervisor does not know laws or policy of clinic ? That’s the level of customer care they offer. Zero respect. Zero professionalism. Zero accountability. In my opinion, the attitude, misinformation, and behavior at this clinic are completely unacceptable. I filed complaints with VCA Corporate, the Better Business Bureau for NOW , because no client should be treated the way I was. If you care about being treated with respect, honesty, and basic professionalism, I strongly recommend avoiding this clinic.

I brought my cat here because I was concerned about her loosing fur at the base of her tail and over grooming. For starters, the first exam was free bc I had a coupon which was very helpful but I must say this place is very pricy. But I was fine with this as I wanted her to have good care. They were VERY insistent that she must have fleas, which I was confused about because I’ve never seen a flea on her and my other cats don’t show signs of fleas. The vet took her to the back to examine her and maybe this is standard, but I wish I could’ve seen them do the exam because it was only a couple minutes and I kinda doubt they were able to do a thorough exam in that time. They sold me a 6 month supply of flea meds and said I should notice it getting better within a few weeks. Fast forward to now and she shows no signs of improvement. They told me her health was fine besides the loosing fur but I can’t help but feel like they missed something. In conclusion I just feel like they aren’t really giving every visit 100% and my bill was around the $200 mark. Considering the visit was free (which would’ve added another $95) I feel like my expectations weren’t met. They told me to bring her back if it didn’t clear up but I think I’ll be taking her somewhere else this time.
