This store is a bastion of questionable business practices, where they turned a simple trade-in into a masterclass on how to lose a loyal customer of 25 years. After countless drama-free years of Verizon service, I did precisely what their own website told me to do: dropped off my old iPhone for trade-in at this store. Handed it straight to Colbey. He took it, no issues, no warnings, no "hey, maybe don't do this here." I walked out thinking, “Simple. Done. Get in, get out, get on with life." Until my bill jumped in price and noticed the trade-in never posted to my account. Ok, no biggie. Mistakes happen. I’ll just call the store to rectify the situation. Cue the nose-dive. First call, Cory picks up. Before I can even finish explaining the situation, he instantly throws up a wall of defensiveness thicker than a conspiracy theorist's tinfoil hat. He flipped the script faster than accountability could catch up. The full wrath was now on me: accusing me of yelling (projection level: expert), questioning who I turned it into and delivered exactly zero help. Zero. Zilch. The Sahara of customer service. The sheer confidence in how he delivered nonsense information was almost impressive. Called in the a.m. Asked to speak to the manager. No manager was available but irony of ironies: Colbey answers. The same guy I handed my phone to weeks earlier. He could have said, “I’ll have my manager call you back” and ended it. Instead he gifted me with the pièce de résistance of this entire debacle: a full-blown, finger-wagging lecture about why I “shouldn’t have brought my trade-in into their store in the first place”… even though Verizon’s very own website sent me there with a smiley little map pin and cheerful reminder text. Newsflash, Colbey, you could’ve mentioned that WHEN I WAS STANDING RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU DROPPING IT OFF FOUR WEEKS AGO! Crisis averted, sanity intact, no google review, but no---Apparently turning in an iPhone at this store is equivalent to a having a PhD in quantum physics that they don’t possess, but gaslighting a paying customer who did what she was supposed to do? That’s entry-level. Taught on day one. Probably comes with the name tag. Moral of the story: If you enjoy being gaslit by employees who couldn’t find customer service with both hands and a flashlight app, this is your store. If you’d rather keep your sanity and your trade-in credit, then drive the extra mile to literally anywhere else - corporate, another carrier, the moon. Idc. PS. Shout-out to manager Alex. The only employee who didn’t treat me like a war criminal. He was lovely. Fixed the issue in 10 minutes flat. If you are forced to step foot into this dumpster fire of a store, demand Alex or risk losing your mind along with your trade-in credit.

I definitely think that the sales consultant Alex needs a definitive raise dude is above and beyond services and the respect and compassion and patience that he had during the interaction went beyond what my words can describe. And he's the reason why I'm staying with Verizon. Thank you Alex you're awesome dude.
