The door person called one employee via earpiece to assist, he was too attentive. He rambled on about many things. We came to shop a TV but left without one. They could eliminate half the staff for uselessness and train the other half to cater and approach in a relaxed way as to not drive away business. It was awkward. Not sure why Best Buy can have manufacturers sell TVs at a discount and have you pick up at Best Buy when Best Buy cant discount the same exact TV and you make the purchase in person, haha. So we tend to buy from Samsung online while in the store, which saves us 15% on the price and pick up at the Best Buy we are standing in. But if you ask for a discount the staff will scratch their heads. At this point it should just be a scratch and dent store which sells lightly used and returned goods. Nobody wants $4K fridges and $5K TVs. Everybody wants $350 TVs that are 70" and look awesome. Not sure how they keep the lights on when shopping online via competition is soo much easier, cheaper, faster, and less intrusive than 20 questions with an employee. That said, we do enjoy seeing the TVs on display and playing with the surround sound systems. Best Buy feels like blockbuster as it was crumbling, nobody there seems to give a crap and the competition is basically overwhelming. Get the employees to look busy or get them off the floor. This simple one line execution for introduction to service will be a game changer for those that may use it: "Hello and welcome to Best But, my name is [insert name] If you need anything at all please let me know and I'll be very happy to help you, thanks!" Short story long, Good luck finding deals, look in the returns and ask specifically about high end return TVs
