I have a “obsolete” computer, an old iMac, mini, that was having trouble upgrading browsers. We contacted the Apple Store and inquired as to what could be done. They told us to bring the computer in. We made an appointment, we came in, and they upgraded our OS on the Mac mini. Now it runs slower, I still can’t upgrade browsers, and I still can’t send out emails from it. We contacted support on the web and we were told that this could happen with older Mac products, especially if they’re upgraded to an OS that they’re not really compatible with. We were not advised that this was even a possibility by the “genius.“ After the computer was noted to run more slowly, he shrugged his shoulders and said there’s not much more he can do. He suggested that we should probably just buy a new $800 Mac mini. This is not the service that I expect from Apple. I then spoke to a manager, who basically said the tech did everything right and that this was a possibility and that we signed a waiver. Of course the waiver didn’t say anything about upgrading that would lead to the computer functioning worse than it did before. I would not recommend going to the store.

I recently visited the Apple Store and had a very disappointing experience. From the moment I walked in, no one acknowledged me or offered assistance. I understand stores can get busy, but basic customer service—like a simple greeting or checking in with customers—should still be a priority. I was left standing around unsure of how to get help, which made the entire visit frustrating and unwelcoming. Apple is known for its customer experience, so this was surprising and not up to the standard I expected. I hope this is addressed, as a more attentive and welcoming environment would make a big difference.

Walked in to purchase a new Mac laptop after checking online that my trade in would be at 420$ An older gentleman was helping us and he told me the trade in would be $80. Wait what?? Online says $420 He stated that there a scratch and they would need to spend money to fix it. The scratch is minor. Left and went to the store in the Westchester Mall. No issues. Avoid this store. Go to any other ones.

I had an absolutely phenomenal experience at the Apple Store in Ridge Hill—this place is what every retail experience should feel like. From the moment you walk in, the energy is clean, modern, and genuinely welcoming. The store itself is spacious, beautifully designed, and fully stocked with everything you’d expect from Apple—plus the latest tech experiences and demos. What really sets this location apart, though, is the staff. Every single person I interacted with was knowledgeable, patient, and actually excited to help. No pressure, no rushed conversations—just real guidance. Whether you’re upgrading your device, troubleshooting an issue at the Genius Bar, or just exploring what’s new, they meet you exactly where you’re at and make the whole process seamless. And the professionalism? Top-tier. Customers consistently highlight how friendly and helpful the team is, which honestly checks out based on my experience. This store isn’t just a place to buy products—it’s an experience. It feels like a hub where technology, education, and customer service all come together. You can tell Apple put serious thought into making this location a standout, and it shows. Bottom line: if you’re anywhere near Yonkers or Westchester, this Apple Store is 100% worth the visit. Clean, efficient, and staffed by people who actually care—it’s how retail should be done.
