I had an unexpected and heartbreaking loss of my 4-year-old cat, and I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Pitcher and the entire team at VCA Southern Tier animal Hospital. They treated my cat with dignity, compassion, and respect in his final moments, and they guided me through an unbearable decision with so much empathy. I am truly grateful for the care, patience, and gentleness they showed both of us. This is an outstanding veterinary clinic, and I would recommend them to anyone who loves their pets.

They are amazing with my baby. The care club is so convenient for puppy owners especially because our little guy had to have his vaccines spaced due to an allergic reaction. Not being charged extra visits is a life saver

These vets and vet techs are great. I have a lovely little mutt I love very much named Ollie. He is a rescue from a puppy mill situation and has had some negative experiences there that’s made him a little quirky. In spite of this; he is a good boy. The team offered the option to have the exam, blood draw, and shots done with him in my lap. With the ability to hold him, the visit went off without a hitch. More importantly - he was less stressed. They didn’t have to do this of course but they took my pet’s comfort into consideration and the visit was smooth because of it. I trust them. So does Ollie 🐾

unfortunately, in areas like Binghamton, NY, vet clinics often mark up prices on prescriptions unless you specifically request to take the script elsewhere. Here’s how to push back while still doing right by your dog: *Ask for a Written Prescription* You have the legal right to request a written prescription and fill it elsewhere — just like with human medications. Say something like: “We’d prefer to fill this medication through an outside pharmacy. Can you please write us a prescription?” Most states, including New York, require vets to comply unless it’s a controlled substance. Unfortunately I'm compelled to leave this review due to their prices. I paid $41 for 30 days in SC, where as here they're charging $50 for 15 days. But the customer service here was excellent, 5 stars, the girls were so nice to my dog, and myself.
