I’m absolutely furious that because I needed a replacement phone activated, my plan grandfathered plan got upgraded without my consent, losing perks and discounts since I started this service.
Now I’m relying on the Escalation team but this store will be the reason I leave Verizon Wireless if my old plan isn’t restored.

Update: thankfully by the next day, when I called tech support for a different issue, he called the store and we got on a 3-way, confirmed details, and then did a 4-way with customer care.
They managed to restore my plan as before and am glad things are back to normal. Props to the store for helping rectify this.

I went to this store because my phone broke and I needed an upgrade. The customer service representative who helped me was extremely rude and unprofessional. When I asked about my account manager status, he spoke down to me and immediately demanded photo ID. I understand the need to verify an account, but the way he handled it felt excessive and accusatory, almost as if he were implying I was impersonating someone.
I was then told I would need to pay over $50 a month for a new phone. After leaving the store and calling Verizon customer service directly, I was able to upgrade my phone completely free on my account.
There was also a lot of inconsistency in the information I was given. One employee shared account details while another claimed they could not, which added to the frustration. It is clear this location has ongoing issues based on the number of one star reviews and the manager constantly fielding complaints. Save yourself the time and go to the W. 57th St. location instead.
