Best Buy’s appliance delivery/installation in NYC has been extremely frustrating and unreliable. Washer/dryer (12/29/2025): delivered but not properly installed (power cord ~1 ft too short). I bought the recommended cord; washer powers on but no water flows, so it’s unusable—despite paying for installation. COI: Best Buy initially sent a generic COI missing my name/address/management company; my condo board rejected it. I had to track down a number on the COI and fix it myself, costing hours. Dishwasher (1/7/2026): delivered at noon; I was told installation would happen 1–4 pm, but at 4 pm I learned it was never scheduled. Earliest washer fix offered was 1/13, but it was set for 1/16 (over 2 weeks after delivery). Poor coordination, poor communication. If your building requires a correct COI, think twice.

Hands down one of the worst retail experiences I have had in New York.
On January 6, 2026 I attempted to return an unactivated iPhone 15 purchased on December 12, 2025. The receipt clearly states that holiday purchases are returnable through January 15, 2026 and that the 14 day return limit applies only to ACTIVATED devices. My phone was never activated, purchased without service, and is clearly labeled UNACTIVATED on the receipt.
Despite this, the staff refused to process the return and tried to enforce a policy that is not written anywhere on the receipt.
The employees were incredibly rude, dismissive, and unhelpful from the start. When I asked for a manager, one appeared without introducing himself and without a name tag. He barely spoke to me, silently inspected the phone, then bluntly said store credit was the only option. No explanation. No attempt to resolve the issue. No accountability. When I pointed out the written policy on the receipt, I was brushed off and told to call corporate.
The attitude from both staff and management was condescending and openly hostile, as if I was trying to scam the store instead of asking Best Buy to follow its own clearly printed policy.
I called Best Buy customer service while still inside the store and was met with complete chaos. One representative tried to speak to the manager and the call was disconnected. Another hung up on me. A third gave contradictory information and insisted I was wrong even after I read the policy word for word from the receipt.
This location either does not understand Best Buy’s own return policies or deliberately ignores them. Combined with rude staff, disengaged management, and refusal to honor written terms, this store is a mess.
Avoid this location at all costs. If something goes wrong with your purchase, expect attitude, misinformation, and zero help.
** I’m disappointed with the response provided. It is unacceptable that a publicly available link was sent instead of addressing the specific issues with my transaction. Your reply was incomplete and unprofessional, failing to engage with the facts or my concerns regarding unactivated devices on my receipt.
I have already filed a complaint with New York Consumer Protection, Consumer Affairs, and the New York Attorney General’s office due to Best Buy’s refusal to provide accurate information and properly address my issue. I am fully prepared to pursue this matter in small claims court if necessary.
All you had to do was the right thing by your return policy and process the return.

We recently purchased a thermador microwave and gas range bundle online from bestbuy and are very dissatisfied with the support services (I called this store several times). While we were initially told that bestbuy would be able to help us with installation, the gas range installation appointments have been unavailable after weeks and hours of my spending on the phone with bestbuy home services team, and the microwave installation was apparently just a "trim kit" installation despite my communicating that we need an old microwave taken out and new one installed, and this was communicated to a number of home services team members (I called 4 or 5 times total). We are beyond discouraged and will never purchase an appliance requiring installation from Bestbuy ever again. They let us down and abandoned us with an extremely large appliance and not even a referral for a reliable installation company.
Great service from entrance to the cash register. Staff was ready to assist with questions. They were knowledgeable and patient until they find my products. Great customer experience.

Isaiah was extremely professional, friendly, polite, and helpful during my visit earlier today to purchase a new television for my apartment. He took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for, showed me multiple options, shared his expertise, and answered all of my questions thoroughly. His attitude was welcoming and respectful throughout, and he genuinely made the entire shopping experience enjoyable. This was easily one of my favorite trips to Best Buy. If you’re shopping for home electronics like TVs, soundbars, or related equipment, I highly recommend seeking out Isaiah on the lower level.
