Overall, this is considered one of the most luxurious Apple stores—if not the most luxurious—which is fantastic. This was especially true given that I encountered a highly professional employee who helped me find exactly what I was looking for; she appeared to be one of their very best staff members. However, I do have one observation: they do not answer the phone when one attempts to contact them. My thanks go once again to the team members I interacted with, and a special thank you to the employee who was of such great assistance to me.

I made a reservation for 2am due to a crazy schedule. I arrived and the first person I saw was a police officer downstairs other than the security guard at the main entrance. No one greeted me. I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to wait or sign in somewhere, but the employees seemed more concerned with taking amongst themselves. I arrived early and had done all the preparations, but apparently my password was different on my Mac and my phone which I did not realize. So, I then had to wait an hour for a security delay and then after that I was supposed to wait another hour and a half for the screen replacement. Issue was that my bike was being watched by the nice guy at the hot dog stand for $20 and he left at 3:30. So, at 3:24 I changed my password and kept getting a msg that no matter how I answered it kept popping up and again no one was available for me. The guy who helped me Dan was super, but he walking into the back employee area as I entered and didn’t come back out when I had to leave at 3:30 to get my bike. I will never visit this location again. Grand central and 79th are my ideal locations. Hours aren’t as flexible, but they are attentive. Professional, and fast. I’ve never stood at their entrance confused.

Service 0/10. Ridiculous, I hated the service. 1. I waited from 5:30PM that I arrived till 7:10 PM when GENESIS came and help. 2. Not only she wasn’t helpful, she said she couldn’t unlocked my phone because I needed to go to T-Mobile. (So why is someone like that working in Apple). 3. In the middle of her giving me help, she went and help another person. Well she made me wait more. 4. She unlocked my phone by deleting all my information, which I was very clear that I wanted my information back. Basically she restarted a phone and gave me a new Apple ID. Apple tech only knows how to do that ?! Bc if I wanted to, I do it own my own. I came to Apple because I thought that they could have the knowledge to give me a solution BY UNLOCKING IT WITHOUT DELETING MY WHOLE APPLE ID. It’s not the first time my phone is locked and technician from other places would unlocked without deleting my information. I’m so sad , and I will never come back to this APPLE. I thought apple was efficient and smart. Sorry but this was a total dissatisfying.

I had the worst experience the supervisor is very rude and I felt racial profiling I’m Puerto Rican and was looking at me like I was to steal..I had 7:45 appointment I was late arrive at 8:00 I was coming from New Jersey so the cancel my appointment I had to wait one hour and half to get seen so then I ask if I want to purchase no wait smh however I went to fix my Mac book pro the screen was cracked unfortunately I was told take 3-7 days to fix mind you biggest store in the area 24 hours and you can’t wait for it so your forced to buy new one because I own a business and need for work Purpose So I purchased one with Ethan and New, MacBook Pro. Ethan was Fantastic and the other hand.and also Dan the genius tech help me connect and transfer not to Mentioned they don’t wanna help you either. I had to beg them to transfer my files because they said you will have to drop off the Computer to transfer your files. Also which doesn’t make no sense either. He said that it would take over 24 hours. They just want you to buy and go. They do not wanna actually help you, so I told him I don’t care how long it takes but I need him to transfer my files immediately, so he got a Fast wire it one from him saying it was 24 hours and it’s 10 minutes. They just want you to grab and go. However, the manager/supervisor was very rude when time was helping me and he wasn’t even done with me. He told him to grab another customer. So now I’m still there. He’s still not finished helping me out and he wants to move onto the next person and they will come back to me. I feel like that’s terrible Customer Service because when I had to ask the text something while my files was getting downloaded. I was basically talking across the room, and then announce to the supervisor how rude he was. When he wasn’t even done helping me out, basically told me to wait and he was gonna grab another customer and get back to me after. I just spent $2200 on a Computer that I told him. It was in an emergency and I needed my Files transfer right Away. They just want to spend the money and go.

Apple’s ecosystem intentionally restricts cross platform functionality, making full message syncing and iMessage access on non Apple devices nearly impossible because iMessage is locked to Apple hardware and software. This restriction is by design, not accidental, as Apple has publicly maintained that iMessage remains exclusive to its ecosystem for control, privacy, and user experience reasons. Apple does not provide public APIs that allow third parties to integrate directly with iMessage, which prevents Microsoft Phone Link or other Windows tools from offering full messaging support. As a result, Windows users with iPhones only get limited Bluetooth based message relays instead of full message history, media syncing, or proper group chat support. In contrast, Android allows deep system level integration with Windows, which proves the technical barrier is policy driven rather than capability driven. Apple applies this same closed approach to features like AirDrop and full FaceTime functionality, further limiting cross platform compatibility. The compatibility issues are therefore rooted in Apple’s deliberate platform restrictions, not in a failure by Microsoft or Windows to support messaging.
