I brought my dog here for an emergency because she couldn’t keep anything down. Dr. Winter recommended an xray and it appeared like she swallowed something. Something did show up blurry but couldn’t confirm what it was. I wish I went for a second opinion because an ultrasound WAS NOT even suggested and I blindly trusted this doctor and agreed to surgery!!!! Over $6000 later and putting my dog through hell NOTHING was there. I was so desperate to help my dog I wasn’t thinking clearly. Dr. Winter said these things happen BUT IT wouldn’t have IF they did an ultrasound!!!!! When I took my dog to a different vet and told him about what happened the first question asked was, “Did they do an ultrasound???” So if you want to endanger your pet and pay for procedures that will empty your savings and go where dollar signs are priority over your pets, continue going here. Please staff, don’t even comment about calling your office. It would just be another insult.

I just wanted to shout out the amazing overnight team at FAH. I brought my cat in for an ultrasound with Dr. Winter - she gave me my results within minutes & had my cat hospitalized. The overnight team came in & the communication was amazing. Dr. Rider was on the phone with me after reviewing her file & we came to the same conclusion on treatment plans going forward. Unfortunately my girl didn’t have a great ending, and Dr. Rider allowed me to wait while surgery was being performed so that I could be there to say goodbye. Sara, Kat & Vanessa were all so caring & kept me in the loop the entire time. This hospital couldn’t run without its amazing swing & overnight staff.

I cannot say enough about the wonderful vets, techs and Support Staff at Flannery. Been coming here for years despite cats hate the car and there are closer vets. Dr Stonefield is so patient, always, and helped us even our 15 year old cat needed to be put down. He helped us avoid unnecessary testing to face her reality. The same kindness was met when we put our 16 year old cat down by a mobile unit to avoid a drive, then took a 16 year old cat there to have ashes done. He now attends to our 3 kitties. They also helped me with a stray I’ve fed for years and arrived to our house nearing death and in pain desperate for help. They put him down for us to end his suffering. Thanking us for helping that poor kitty. Simply the BEST!

I took my dog here yesterday with an emergency back issue (she is a Doxie). We were put in a room and waited at least 30 minutes when DR. MILLER realized we were waiting to see her. I know this because I saw the techs look into our room and realized then we were still waiting on DR. MILLER who then walked in moments later. She saw my dog for half a minute, had zero bedside manner, no sympathy, or empathy, nothing. During the half minute check up she recommended leaving my dog there overnight so they could do xrays, etc. When I said no, she sent my dog home with painkillers, a muscle relaxer, and a non steroid fluid medication used for ARTHRITIS!!! Needless to write, my dog saw zero improvement and in fact worsened come morning. At that point I rushed to the Guardian animal hospital in Brewster, NY where I saw a vet who actually knew what she was doing. She agreed with me that DR. MILLER didn't prescribe correctly, my dog NEEDED steroids. And they DID NOT recommend xrays or overnight stay. Instead I am to treat my dog with steroids as I KNEW, 6-8 weeks of confinement with limited mobility, andva follow visit in 2 weeks. Im writing this review to recommend that if you do visit this clinic try and avoid seeing DR. MILLER, I think she needs a refresher course!
