Took my dog Bronson in on Emergency he was completely lethargic. They put him on fluids immediately which is great. However upon being released my dog was left with a bandage on and we were told to remove it after 1 hour. We did so and when removing the bandage the wound started squirting blood, all over the receipt for the visit. Upon examining the IV wound the “IV pick” was left inserted in my dogs vein causing blood to erupt. I was able to remove the IV Pick carefully and get a picture which I will include. They were nice and compassionate staff however this is a major error on their part and it was not a cheap visit so we are pretty upset. The good news is our dog made a miraculous turn around and recovered after a day and is back to his normal self. But I seriously cannot believe the error and that has never happened before and really freaked us out. Pics included below. Dont know why my review wont show

We think VCA was a very professional, very clean, friendly and warming place to bring our little Chihuahua. He needed an emergency surgery and they did a wonderful job. Definitely recommend this animal hospital!

Never in a million years would I recommend this place to anyone. I've sat on this for years. I've tried to give some grace due to my experience happening during the pandemic. I've actually never been able to set foot inside the building but I regret ever pulling into that parking lot! Unfortunately, I've read though these reviews and I see the word "communication" mentioned repeatedly. That just proves it wasn't just a pandemic issue.
They let me spend SEVERAL thousand dollars on my dog simply because I was willing.
What started with him not being able to pee ended up with him needing stomach surgery. He had tests done (ultrasound) etc. I told them I was realistic about his age and chances of him having cancer. That I didn't want to put him though any of that if they felt he wouldn't live long after. They said they didn't find anything indicating cancer and he was good candidate for the surgery. So I agreed to them performing the surgery. During which I was called and told some things didn't look normal and they suggested biopsies. Ok, of course. I was told they all came back negative and it was likely just inflammation. My dog continued to have stomach issues after the surgery and I brought him back several times. They kept him overnight each time. He lost weight rapidly and I couldn't get enough food in him. I spent hundreds on prescription foods, specialty high calorie foods and weight gainers. I had an appointment with internal medicine scheduled but never got to see the doctor. I actually NEVER got to see any doctor in person during any of this. I called about a cough he developed (I was told he might after being intubated) the woman on the phone said "maybe the cancer has spread to his lungs". WHAT CANCER?!
One of the times I called they refused to see him, sighting no room. I said I would go to Cornell instead and they called back soon after to say I could bring him in. I ended up going there because they had been the ones treating him all along but I definitely regret it!
Eventually, I ended up having his files sent to Cornell and spent even more money only to be told he in fact did have cancer.
I ended up having to say goodbye to my heart dog after putting him through all of those tests, surgery, stomach pumped multiple times, trips in the middle of the night, nights away from home, fighting with getting medications in him, etc. We were so attuned to each other I know he was just as stressed out as I was.
I NEVER would've spent that kind of money or put him through all of that had they communicated with me properly. I drained my savings and borrowed so much more. If you're willing to find the money they're willing to keep taking it!

VCA is the best vet ever. It took me 2 other vets who didn’t take my emergency case seriously until I came to VCA and they took my case seriously, took an xray and took the appropriate measures with my 13 week old kitten and kept her overnight finally giving her the treatment she needed. After 4 weeks of my kitten having litter in her system and being in pain, VCA finally helped her and we will always be grateful for both the care they gave her and the kindness they gave me keeping me updated throughout the way and taking her seriously.

After the whirlwind of a day I had with my Hashbrown (cat); these folks deserve an award for the service that they offer to all of the pet owners. Especially Darien. First time cat owner and mine has to be kept over night for a sickness, Darien was awesome with giving me the info I needed when I needed it most. Thankful to the max for these folks. I can’t thank them enough for the care they provided.
