Employees have a responsibility to respect customers and maintain professionalism, which includes not being under the influence while on the job. Unfortunately, that was not the case during my visit. When I entered the store, one of the associates appeared to be visibly impaired and immediately began behaving inappropriately. He asked intrusive and irrelevant questions such as my phone number and home address while holding a personal notebook, as if he intended to write down my information. This was especially concerning because another associate was already assisting me through the proper verification process using the store’s tablet, where all of my details had already been entered. At first, I assumed the situation was simply a misunderstanding, but the behavior escalated. The impaired associate repeatedly asked for my personal information despite the verification already being completed. He then moved closer, took my phone out of my hand without permission, and began scrolling through it. His actions were persistent, invasive, and completely unprofessional. It became clear that he was under the influence and not exercising sound judgment. This conduct is unacceptable. I felt uncomfortable, unsafe, and deeply concerned about how my personal information was being handled. No customer should be placed in a situation like this.
