- KCKatherine CernaDec 7, 20251.0I went to Geek Squad for what should have been the simplest fix imaginable--a basic keyboard replacement for my laptop. That's it. Instead, they somehow decided the best solution was to swap out my entire laptop without telling me anything about it. No warning, no explanation, and definitely no heads-up that doing this would wipe out all of my data. When I picked it up and realized everything was gone, years of files, personal documents, photos, I was speechless. A company that handles people's devices should at least communicate major decisions, especially ones that destroy data. It’s careless, unprofessional, and honestly shows a complete lack of respect for people’s data. The complete lack of transparency and care was unbelievable. I came in for a keyboard. I left with a new laptop and a massive data loss disaster. My trust in them is completely gone. If you value your information, do yourself a favor and avoid Geek Squad.

I haven't heard back since and every time I call I get forwarded to a support line located somewhere else. This is real sketchy business and highly unprofessional.

Josh fixed it in less than 10 min. Helped me buy a laptop with all I needed within my budget. Took his time to explain how it all worked, no rush. Great person.
