VCA Hualapai Animal Hospital has always been great. But this prior weekend on Saturday March 21st, 2026 my Wife and I took out fur babies for their appointments. The whole staff was great except for Dr.Dawsey, who had been booked to see one of our babies. While my Wife was in the hospital with one of our babies, I was with the other. Our fur babies had appointments set at 30 minute intervals with different Doctors. VCA decided to give our second babies appointment to Dr.Dawsey, also. Dr Dawsey, greeted my Wife by saying in a condescending tone now you have two. "All of a sudden you have two". My Wife was completely blindsided by his attitude. Dr.Dawsey, tells my wife that he is over booked like she is the one who booked him. For Christ sake it is his job After All. I expressed to Dr.Dawsey, how unpleased and unprofessional his approach was and decided against him seeing our other fur baby. I hope that Dr.Dawsey, is given training on how to treat clients who are looking for service to maintain the well-being of their animals. If I could've give Dr.Dawsey, a negative rating I would have. Living in Summerlin like my wife and I do we always go to that VCA. Hope we never have to deal with Dr.Dawsey again. Boo this man.

Dr Love and her entire team are incredible! Office is very clean and welcoming. The entire team was very professional, kind, and caring from start to finish. I did not feel pressured or judged at any point but instead genuinely felt welcomed and cared for. Discussed a treatment plan in depth and was on our way home in less than 30 minutes. Finding your furever vet is not an easy task, but I think we finally have here!

It's not cheap but the care package for my pets gives me peace of mind because I can always take them in to get checkups.

UPDATE 2.24.26 - It has been over a month and not one person has 'reached out' to me. So it's down to 1 star because clearly they do not care about the comfort of animals. There is another VCA just down the road that is AMAZING...go there!! ORIGINAL: I wanted to love this place so much and the reviews made me think that I just might, but alas my search for a vet in Las Vegas continues. =( I made an appt with a female Dr, as my dog is not always comfortable around males, but when I got there I was scheduled with a male Dr? Now, I'm sure he's a perfectly nice person and I would understand if it was some sort of mix up or perhaps the vet I'd orginally booked with had an emergency or some such but I had called a few days ahead to provide some information, at which time I specifically told them that I needed a female Dr because my dog doen't like males, so if a female was not available they should've rescheduled my appt. Based on the reviews this is not a normal situation and the people did seem nice but, unfortunately for me, it just left a bad impression.
