As an IT professional, I am more than capable of setting up my own devices. Despite that, she insisted on doing it anyway. At no point did she mention there would be an extra charge. Later, I noticed I was billed for a “Setup & Go” fee that I never asked for or authorized. When I called the store to question the charge, I ended up in a shouting match with one of the associates — extremely unprofessional behavior. I asked why they charge this fee, and was told “we charge this for all customers.” I pressed further, asking if they even charge people who just want to purchase a phone, and the answer was “no.” That is DECEPTIVE and misleading. To make things worse, I’ve called twice asking for the manager, and I am still waiting on my call to be returned.... This feels dishonest and like I was taken advantage of. If Verizon wants to charge for this service, it should be optional and disclosed upfront—not pushed on customers who decline it. I would caution anyone visiting this store to carefully review their receipts and challenge any hidden fees. As a matter of fact, maybe just avoid this store altogether. I wont be returning here for a new phone that's for certain...
