Ordered my phone that I was getting for my trade in $1100 of a new iPhone upgrade. Picked it up yesterday no problem. Got it set up and had to call into support to get it transferred over, not a big deal. I take my old phone today to drop it off. Tell the lady my name and I’m dropping off. She checked the numbers make sure it matched and took it back. When she came back she handed me the receipt and said have a good evening. She didn’t tell me I wasn’t getting the full amount of the trade in offer I was doing. I saw when I looked at the receipt in my car that it was because I “failed to upgrade my plan”. I called into support because I figured the system glitched on the plan upgrade. (I had this happen last year with another line on my plan and it was an absolute nightmare). Spoke with the lady and she said my plan was upgraded like I said and the promo was correct. When I told her to do the math she realized the promo award was incorrect. The whole point of paying off my phone and upgrade my plan was for the credit. Now I’m on the phone with support for 30 mins to be told I have to call back next Wednesday to get this corrected. So I decide to call the store to see if I could speak with a manager to get it correct at the store instead of having to call support a third time for this phone upgrade. No one answered, I got the Verizon bot, and then it hung up on me. Less than a year apart dealing with yet another issue with the upgrade system. We didn’t do it in store because last time had problems, and now I’m still having problems when I followed everything that was instructed. Pay off the remaining balance, upgrade the plan, and then turn in the phone. For how big this company is you would think the same issue wouldn’t happen to a customer twice. I’ll take full accountability for not looking at the receipt when she handed it to me, but she also could’ve been like “oh hey by the way you didn’t get the full amount because..”. Then we could’ve squashed it there. I honestly could’ve let it go if I wasn’t hung up on when trying to call in and be proactive about fixing it. So if you’re looking for a online order for pick up, they got you on that at the very least.

Johnny Brown at Verizon Eastern went above and beyond in every possible way. From the moment I walked in, it was clear that he is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely cares about his customers. He knew exactly what he was doing and explained everything clearly and patiently. When I lost my phone and could not access my iCloud account, I was stressed and felt stuck. Johnny immediately took full ownership of the situation and worked through every step with me until the issue was completely resolved. After I recovered my phone, he was able to get me back into my account and restore full access to my device, including all the new information I had added. What could have been a disaster turned into a smooth and reassuring experience because of his expertise and calm approach. On top of that, he helped install a privacy screen protector on my device without hesitation and gave me his full, undivided attention the entire time. I never felt rushed or overlooked—he made sure everything was done correctly and that I was comfortable before I left. His customer service is truly exceptional—100% the best I have ever experienced. He is trustworthy, attentive, and highly skilled at what he does. I made sure to take his card, and I will always return to him for any future needs. Verizon is extremely fortunate to have someone like Johnny representing the company.
